Modular Composting Garden Container, System, and Method of Use
Provided is an expandable, modular tower planter having an internal vertical composting capability, and a method of assembling and using the same. Provided in various example embodiments is a modular composting garden container system comprising a base and a plurality of stackable rings forming a tower upon the base, including an optional base ring specially sized, shaped, and positioned to connect the tower to the base. A plurality of perforated, stackable tube sections are provided that are removably assembled into a compost tube assembly of selectable height and mounted within the interior of the tower and above the base. A plurality of holding struts are sized, shaped, and positioned to removably connect the compost tube assembly with the tower and to securely locate the compost tube assembly relative to the tower. Means are provided for recovering nutrient-rich drainage and selective recovery of compost material for reintroduction into the system.
Modular farm with carousel system
A container farm provides a grow zone and a work zone within an enclosure. Plants are grown in vertical grow towers within the grow zone supported by a rotatable carousel grow structure. The grow towers can be moved within the grow zone to a location in which they are accessible from the work zone. A seedling station can be provided within the work zone. Other systems, including an irrigation system, a lighting system, and a climate control system, can be provided to support the growth of plants within the container.
Cultivation and sampling device for plants
A sampling device for plants having a lower section with a plurality of sample containers, an upper section with a plurality of cultivation containers, a cutter and a cutting tip, wherein a base opening is formed in each cultivation container and corresponds to a sample container opening of one of the sample containers, and wherein the cutter and cutting tip are arranged, when the sampling device is in a usage position, between the upper section and the lower section such that a part of a plant protruding out through the base opening of the cultivation container and in through the sample container opening into the sample container can be severed by the cutter and cutting tip.
Ducting assembly for de-stratification and consolidating excess water and nutrients
A tray system for use in horticultural or agricultural operations comprising a ducting assembly for de-stratification and a drainage system for consolidating excess water and nutrients.
HYDROPONIC PLANT CULTIVATING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a hydroponic plant growing system. The hydroponic plant growing system includes a reservoir for storing a watering solution including water along with nutrients, a planting lid releasably-engaged to the reservoir, a transparent lid disposed to cover the planting lid and a bubbler or an air pump connected to an air stone for producing bubbles in the watering solution. The planting lid includes a plurality of embedded cups for retaining the plants and enabling the plants to receive nutrients from the watering solution therebelow. A solar panel provides power to the bubbler. The plants are suspended over the bubbled watering solution and nutrients, thereby enabling plants to be grown both indoors and outdoors.
Seed starting tray
A seed starting tray including at least one cell defining a space, the at least one cell including a rigid upper portion defining an opening of the least one cell, and a flexible lower portion defining a base of the at least one cell, the flexible lower portion being transitionable between a first position in which the space defines a first volume and a first height and a second position in which the space defines a second volume and a second height, the first volume being greater than the second volume and the first height being greater than the second height.
Charged plant vessel for controlled nutrient release
A plant growing vessel includes an impervious outer vessel, a cover, a first permeable membrane, a nutrient chamber, and a pocket. The impervious outer vessel includes an inert substrate in a root zone. The cover is positioned over the impervious outer vessel. The first permeable membrane is in contact with the inert substrate. The nutrient chamber includes solid nutrients. The nutrient chamber is between the cover and the first permeable membrane or between the first permeable membrane and a bottom of the impervious outer vessel, and the solid nutrients are in contact with the first permeable membrane. The pocket is configured to allow seeds, seedlings, or shoots of plants access to the inert substrate through an aperture in the cover.
PLANT POT TRAY AND IRRIGATION SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
The present invention provides a plant pot tray and irrigation system that improves the efficiency of installation and removal of growing pots from the tray. The present invention includes a plant pot tray that includes an integrated irrigation system that does not install into the individual pots but may be installed into the tray itself outside of the pots. The integrated irrigation system allows for the pots to be installed and removed from the plant pot tray without disturbing the integrated irrigation system, thus making the installation and removal of the pots efficient and operable to be automated.
Hydroponic system and apparatus having removable growing structures for multiple types of plants
The disclosure relates to technology for hydroponics. An aspect includes a hydroponic system comprising a tray having a drain opening in a bottom of the tray. The hydroponic system comprises a water re-circulation system configured to re-circulate water containing plant nutrients through the hydroponic system. The water re-circulation system is configured to provide the water containing the plant nutrients to the tray. The tray is configured to convey the water along the bottom the tray to the drain opening, the drain opening configured to drain the water from the tray. The hydroponic system comprises different types of removable growing structures that are configured to provide corresponding different vertical distances between a top of a hydroponic growing medium and the bottom of the tray.
PLANT HOLDING DEVICE
The invention relates to a support device for plants, comprising a support trellis (2), said support trellis (2) having a plurality of essentially parallel support fillets (4), slit-type openings (5) being provided between individual support fillets (4)
