CEILING FAN WITH ENHANCED LIGHTING CAPABILITIES AND RELATED METHODS
A ceiling fan includes a rotatable hub adapted to be suspended from the ceiling. The hub includes at least one fan blade adapted for rotating with the hub. An uplight module is provided having a plurality of different lights, each of the plurality of lights for producing a different type of light incident on the ceiling. The uplight module may include a modular circuit board assembly comprising a main board including one or more LEDs and one or more auxiliary boards connected to the main board and including one or more UV LEDs, whereby adaptation for producing germicidal energy can be achieved without dismounting the ceiling fan from the ceiling. A controller may be provided for controlling the light intensity or temperature, including from pre-selected values. Related methods are also disclosed.
Guy wire connector for ceiling fan
An apparatus for connecting one or more guy wires to a down rod, the connector having first and second separable portions which form an aperture for receiving the down rod. At least one of the first or second portions includes at least one passage adapted for releasably receiving a portion of the guy wire. The guy wire may include an anchor, and the passage for receiving the guy wire may be adapted for capturing the anchor so as to preclude movement of the guy wire in a radial direction.
Ceiling fan with mounting plate
A ceiling fan assembly having a motor with a rotor and a stator, at least one blade operably coupled to the stator, a motor shaft extending from the stator and having an internal wire passage and a wire opening in a side of the motor shaft, with the wire opening providing access to the internal wire passage, a control mounting plate having a motor shaft opening through which the motor shaft extends and an electronic control unit carried by a side of the control mounting plate.
Ceiling fan mounting assembly
A ceiling fan assembly or similar air-moving device can include a motor for rotating one or more blades to drive a volume of air about a space. The ceiling fan assembly can further include a hanger ball with an indexing pin. The ball hanger can be received by a mounting bracket so that, via an alignment guide, the indexing pin of the hanger ball aligns with an indexing groove on the mounting bracket.
Method to clean air utilizing a built-in air flow mechanism
Disclosed embodiments relate to a combination axial fan and LED lighting system configured to fit into the footprint of a standard ceiling tile. Disclosed embodiments further include ceiling tiles with a built-in fan and/or LED lighting. The disclosed systems may include a housing container and an axial fan. The fan has a fan cavity including air diversion mechanism to direct air from the fan cavity toward the lighting and fan components. The inventions include an airflow surface to direct air existing the fan cavity along an LED light fixture. Moreover, disclosed embodiments include one or more UV light sources which irradiate contaminants as air flows through the ceiling tile.
Ceiling fan structure
A ceiling fan structure includes a mounting bracket, a hanging plate, a coupling, and a motor. The mounting bracket is fixed to a ceiling. The hanging plate has a top fixed to the mounting bracket. The top is formed with a recessed accommodating groove for accommodating a first electronic component. The coupling is connected to a bottom of the accommodating groove and extends downward. The coupling is connected with a support plate extending horizontally. The support plate is configured to support a second electronic component. The internal space of the ceiling fan structure is properly planned so that the components of the ceiling fan structure can be reasonably configured, so as to improve the efficiency of assembly.
Ceiling fan bearing system
A ceiling fan mount assembly having a downrod assembly with a downrod and a motor assembly comprising motor and including a motor shaft. The ceiling fan mount assembly further includes a downrod plate coupled to the downrod and a shaft coupler coupled to the motor shaft and coupled to the downrod plate, whereby coupling the downrod plate to the shaft coupler suspends the motor from the downrod.
Weatherproof electrical enclosure with reinforcement
The present disclosure provides descriptions of electrical box assemblies for supporting heavy fixtures, such as ceiling fans, and facilitating electrical connections to the fixtures. The electrical box assembly includes an electrical box that allows a connection between the box and electrical conduits and a connection, e.g., a weatherproof connection, with a housing of the fixture. The box has an open front face to house electrical connections between the fixture and wires supplying electrical power to the box via the conduits. The box has a bottom wall and an open front face. A reinforcement member fits within the electrical box and includes a panel shaped to conform to at least a portion of the bottom wall and one or more standoffs extending toward the open front face of the box. When the reinforcement member is positioned within the box, mounting holes in the bottom wall of the box and reinforcement member are aligned to allow the box to be attached to a building structure.
Articulating dust collector
The device includes a substantially cylindrical, oblong, rigid, extension pole having a distal end upon which is formed an articulatable jaw structure head which can be actuated between open and closed positions by the pull of either a medial handle or knob located at the proximal end. A collector sock made from a pliable sheet material can be mounted upon the jaw structure so that the sock enwraps the entire item to be dusted such as a ceiling fan blade. The inner surface of the sock surrounding its open end maw can include asperities and electrostatic, dust adhering fibers to help scrape off and capture fine particles of dust and other debris from the item being dusted. The head can include a pair of parallely separatable cantelevered beams engaging the sock.
Ceiling fan blade
A ceiling fan or blade thereof can include a fan motor for rotating the blade. The blade can include an airfoil body having an outer surface extending between a leading edge and a trailing edge, and a root and a tip. The blade can be separated into three distinct cross sections including a first cross section as a lifting cross section, a second cross section as a flat cross section, and a third cross section as a transition section between the first and second cross sections.
