SIMPLIFIED COTTON CULTIVATION METHOD RELYING ON FRUITING (BOLL SETTING) ON VEGETATIVE BRANCHES

The present disclosure provides a simplified cotton cultivation method relying on setting bolls on VBs. Not only can the method form seed cotton yield and increase the yield by at least 10% compared with conventional manual pruning or no-prune technique, but also eliminate pruning and topping. The method is a new, simple and feasible simplified cotton cultivation method. The simplified cotton cultivation method relying on setting bolls on VBs includes the following steps: heading a cotton plant to retain only VBs when cotton grows to squaring stage, namely cutting off the first fruiting branch and an upper main stem thereof from the cotton plant after squaring, and only retaining the vegetative branches for growth and development, squaring, flowering, and setting bolls.

Growing medium and mulch fiber opening apparatus

A compressed growing medium or mulch fiber opener comprising at least one set of adjacent rotating members, the rotating members having a surface and including at least one wire wound around at least a portion of the surface, wherein the wire includes a plurality of projections engaging compressed or partially opened growing medium or mulch fiber, and wherein a distance between the adjacent rotating members is sufficiently small to create at least one pinch point between the adjacent rotating members, the adjacent rotating members separating the fibers as the fibers pass through the at least one pinch point so that the density of the fiber is lowered by at least 50-95%.

Mulch coloring

Coloring systems and methods include a conveyor that transports a material. An auger is configured to move a colorant from a reservoir to the conveyor. A grinder receives the material and the colorant from the conveyor and grinds the material and the colorant together to produce a colored material.

Biochar Suspended Solution

A method is provided for producing a biochar solution. The method comprises the steps of collecting biochar particles, dispersing the biochar particles in a liquid solution and adding a stabilizing agent to keep the biochar in flowable suspension. The stabilizing agent may be added to the liquid solution or to the biochar prior to placing the biochar in solution.

The present invention provides a method of using plant material to simultaneously control weeds and plant target plants, including the following steps: covering the carrier with plant material with a thickness of 0.1˜12 cm to form a plant material layer, controlling the water content of the plant material during the covering period, immediately before planting and after planting, planting the target plant on the surface of the plant material layer or in the plant material layer. The subject method could make full use of plant resources, control weeds when they are the most vulnerable, and produce a synergistic effect of different planting methods for different target plants. At the same time, the method achieves low cost and ensures the survival rate of planting target plants.

MULCH COLORING

Coloring systems and methods include a reservoir that holds a colorant. A vibrator motor is attached to the reservoir and applies a vibration to the reservoir to cause the colorant to collect at a bottom of the reservoir. An auger moves the colorant from the reservoir to an outlet.

Bark and wood fiber growing medium

A method for making a growing medium includes a step of combining tree bark and/or wood components together to form an initial composition; heating the initial composition to a temperature greater than about 149° C. under steam in a pressurized vessel; processing the initial composition through a refiner with a plurality of opposing disks to obtain the fibrous growing medium, the refiner separating fibers from each other; wherein the growing medium has total porosity of 88 volume % or more.

Hydromulching material comprising Kurapia and hydromulching method

A hydromulching material includes a mixture of: Kurapia cut seedlings prepared by cutting Kurapia stem into pieces each on the order of averagely 4 cm in length; seeds of sterile annual plant; and soil dressing.
