VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE
The present device is a vertically oriented wind turbine blade having a rectangular simple curvilinear shaped blade, which includes a top edge, a bottom edge, an outer edge, an inner edge, an inner surface and an outer surface. The blade is formed using extrusion to approximate a uncompleted airfoil shape from the inner edge to the outer edge (relative to the turbine center or hub). The angle of attack, the solidity and the arms angle are designed to improve performance at low wind speeds.
METHOD FOR CREATING A TRANSITION FROM AN EDGE OF AN ADD-ON PART MOUNTED ON THE OUTER SURFACE OF A ROTOR BLADE
A method for creating a transition from an edge of an add-on part mounted on the outer surface of a rotor blade, including the steps: delimiting an application area on the rotor blade surface and the add-on part to be covered by a sealant compound with a thin and smooth masking tape; dispensing of the sealant on the application area; distribution of the sealant; removing the masking tape; and smoothening of a sealant transition step with a flexible tool, is provided.
A wind turbine rotor blade is also provided.
METHOD OF SHAPING AN EDGE SEAL FOR A ROTOR BLADE ADD-ON
Provided is a method of shaping an initial edge seal along a longitudinal edge step of an add-on part mounted on the outer surface of a rotor blade, which method includes the steps of providing an initial edge seal along a longitudinal edge step of an add-on part mounted on an outer surface of a rotor blade, and removing a top layer of the initial edge seal. Further provided is wind turbine rotor blade.
VORTEX GENERATOR TAPE FOR A WIND TURBINE BLADE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE AND ATTACHMENT THEREOF
A vortex generator tape for installation on an outer surface of a wind turbine blade, the vortex generator comprising an elongate base part comprising an inner side configured for being adhered to the outer surface of the wind turbine blade, and an outer side arranged opposite to the inner side; and a plurality of protrusions each for generating vortices during the operation of the wind turbine blade, wherein each protrusion protrudes from the outer side of the base part and is spaced apart from every other protrusion along the base part; wherein the plurality of protrusions is formed integrally with the base part.

The present disclosure relates to a rotor blade of a wind power installation, at least comprising a first rotor blade component having: a first end for arranging on the wind power installation, and a second end for connecting to a second rotor blade component; a second rotor blade component having: a first end for arranging on the first rotor blade component, and a second end wherein the first rotor blade component can be connected to the second rotor blade component at a separating point to the rotor blade, wherein the rotor blade has an aerodynamically open profile at the separating point.
ROTOR BLADE OF A WIND TURBINE COMPRISING A LIFT MODIFYING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING THEREOF
A rotor blade of a wind turbineis provided, the rotor blade including a lift modifying device having at least one fluid jet module and at least one compressed fluid sources, wherein the at least one fluid jet module includes multiple fluid jets, which are fluidically connected to the at least one compressed fluid source, whereby the at least one fluid jet module is mounted as an add-on onto an outer surface of the suction side or the pressure side of the rotor blade. Also provided is a method for installing this rotor blade, whereby a rotor blade is provided and the at least one fluid jet module is mounted as an add-on onto the outer surface of the suction side or the pressure side of the rotor blade.
Rotor blade of a wind turbine, having a splitter plate
A rotor blade of a wind turbine, wherein the rotor blade has in particular a splitter plate, which is arranged on the blunt trailing edge of the rotor blade. The splitter plate comprises: a root edge, wherein the root edge is arranged on, in particular along, the trailing edge below a transition from the suction side into the trailing edge, an end edge, wherein the end edge forms a free edge, and a surface between the root edge and the end edge, wherein the surface has at least one curved part between the root edge and the end edge, and at least one part of the surface lies in the shear layer generated by the suction side.

Active Lift Control Device and Method
A lift control device actively controls the lift force on a lifting surface. The device has a protuberance near a trailing edge of its lifting surface, which causes flow to separate from the lifting surface, generating regions of low pressure and high pressure which combine to increase the lift force on the lifting surface. The device further includes a means to keep the flow attached around the protuberance or to modify the position of the protuberance in response to a command from a central controller, so as to provide an active control of the lift between a maximum value and a minimum value.
