A mounting tool includes a base component and an attachment means. The base component includes a mounting portion defining an attachment location for receiving and securing a repair tool so as to maintain the repair tool at a desired repair location and a first receiving portion defining a first cavity for receiving a portion of a wind turbine so as to be externally secured to the wind turbine. The attachment means may be adjustably secured to the first receiving portion of the base component and securable to the portion of the wind turbine so as to secure the mounting tool to the wind turbine at the desirable repair location.
System and method for suspending a rotor blade of a wind turbine uptower
A method for suspending a rotor blade uptower includes mounting a first end of a support structure at a first uptower location of the wind turbine. The method also includes securing the rotor blade to a second end of the support structure. Further, the method includes mounting at least one pulley block assembly between a second uptower location and the support structure. Moreover, the method includes routing at least one pulley cable from at least one winch over the at least one pulley block assembly. In addition, the method includes detaching the rotor blade from the hub of the wind turbine. Once the rotor blade is detached, the method includes rotating the support structure about the first end via coordinated winch operation so as to lower the rotor blade a predetermined distance away from the hub. Thus, the method also includes suspending the rotor blade at the predetermined distance away from the hub via the support structure.
Crane system and an associated method thereof
A crane system for a wind turbine is disclosed. The crane system includes a support structure, a movable structure, a slidable device, a first actuator unit, and a plurality of second actuator units. The slidable device includes a base, a retention component, and first, second, third, and fourth pairs of clamping arms. The base is coupled to the support structure. The retention component is coupled to either side of the base to define a channel between the retention component and the base. The first and second pairs of clamping arms are spaced apart and coupled to each other and to the base. The third and fourth pairs of clamping arms are disposed within the channel, spaced apart, and coupled to each other. The first actuator unit is coupled to the slidable device and each second actuator unit is coupled to the first, second, third, and fourth pairs of clamping arms.
PUMP PACKAGE FRAME
This application concerns a frame for a pump package for connecting to a liquid storage tank, the frame comprising a mounting frame portion and a transport frame portion. The mounting frame portion has an installation side for securing the mounting frame portion to the outside of a liquid storage tank and a mounting side for securing a pump package to the mounting frame portion. The transport frame portion has one or more lifting points for lifting the pump package when secured to the mounting frame portion. Together, the mounting frame portion and the transport frame portion form an enclosed space for containing the pump package when the mounting frame portion and the transport frame portion are attached.
Method for Onshore or Offshore Erecting an Upstanding Construction
Methods for onshore or offshore erecting an upstanding construction comprising longitudinal construction parts, comprising the steps of providing the longitudinal construction parts, transporting the longitudinal construction parts on a vehicle to an erection site, providing a crane for hoisting the longitudinal construction parts, using the crane for placing the respective longitudinal construction parts on top of each other on a construction base at the erection site, providing the construction base and/or the longitudinal construction parts with a support and guide facility for the crane, arranging that the crane is mountable on the support and guide facility, and mounting the crane on the support and guide facility of at least one of the construction base and the longitudinal construction parts that is placed on the construction base, so as to arrange that the crane is movable up and down along the support and guide facility of the construction.
System and method for repairing a gearbox of a wind turbine uptower
A rotor lock assembly for locking a rotor of a wind turbine. The rotor lock assembly has at least one relocatable rotor lock. The relocatable rotor lock has a housing, a bushing element, a pin shaft position within the bushing element, and a locking mechanism. The housing includes a mounting portion adapted for mounting to a bearing housing adjacent to a rotor lock plate of the rotor.
Wind power plant
A wind power plant comprises a platform having a deck and a frame. The frame comprises a plurality of generator stations, each configured for receiving and supporting a respective removable wind turbine generator. Generator conveyance means are configured and arranged for moving a wind turbine generator between the deck and a generator station. The wind turbine generator comprises a housing in which a turbine is rotatably arranged. The turbine comprising a plurality of blades interconnected by a peripheral rim; and the rim comprises a plurality of magnets. The housing comprises a plurality of coils arranged in close proximity to the peripheral rim. The platform may be a floating platform, supported by at least a main hull, connectable to a seabed via turret mooring, whereby the power plant is allowed to weathervane.
Seaworthy, watertight, floatable container for an offshore wind turbine maintenance program
A container for maintenance capsule as a component of a maintenance system for an offshore wind turbine maintenance program. The container transports tools, parts and maintenance personnel to and from respective wind turbine towers. The container is seaworthy, watertight and floatable, and can be loaded on a maintenance vessel which carries the container to and from a wind turbine tower.
Portable crane for maintaining a wind turbine generator
An apparatus for maintaining a wind turbine generator includes at least, but is not limited to, a wind turbine connected to a wind turbine generator, the wind turbine generator is supported by a generator platform, a gearbox disposed between the wind turbine and said wind turbine generator, and a break assembly disposed between the gearbox and the wind turbine generator. The generator platform provides at least one maintenance stud adjacent the wind turbine generator, which is used to secure a portable crane to the generator platform. The portable crane includes at least, but is not limited to, a support member secured to a mounting plate, the support member extends from the mounting plate in an upward direction and at an angle that is less than a ninety degree angle relative to said mounting plate.
Apparatus and method for removing equipment parts from a platform of a wind turbine generator, and method for filling a fuel tank on said platform
A power pack [2] is located within a housing [3] on the platform [1] of a wind turbine generator tower. The power pack [2] is supplied from a fuel tank [4]. With the door [6] of the housing [3] open, the power pack [2] may be removed for servicing and repair by using a U-shaped support structure [8] to which an electric motor [11] is mounted. Two support rails [12] permanently located within the housing [3] support the housed power pack [2]. A chain [15] attached to the power pack [2] is driven by the motor [11] to remove the power pack [2] from the housing [3] by sliding the power pack [2]along the support structure [8]. A pulley arrangement reduces the necessary torque. After removing the power pack [2] from the housing [3], a crane [7] is used to lift the power pack [2] from the platform [1] and to lower it down to a sea vessel [17]. The crane [7] may also be used in the refilling of the fuel tank [4] by hauling a fuel line [18] from a sea vessel up to the platform [1] and connecting it to the fuel tank [4].
