Turbomachine component for a gas turbine, turbomachine assembly and gas turbine having the same
The present technique presents a turbomachine component having an airfoil e.g. a vane of a gas turbine. The airfoil wall defines an internal space which includes a first and a second cooling channels having a first and a second impingement inserts, that define a first main and a first peripheral flow channels in the first cooling channel and a second main and a second peripheral flow channels in the second cooling channel, respectively. Impingement jets ejected from the main flow channels via impingement holes of the corresponding impingement inserts are received in the corresponding peripheral flow channels. A channel connecting conduit conducts a flow of the cooling air from the first cooling channel to the second cooling channel. The channel connecting conduit includes an inlet connected to an outlet of the first cooling channel, and an outlet connected to an inlet of the second cooling channel.
TURBINE VANE, AND TURBINE AND GAS TURBINE INCLUDING SAME
A turbine vane includes an airfoil having a leading edge and a trailing edge, an inner shroud disposed at one end of the airfoil to support the airfoil, and an outer shroud disposed opposite to the inner shroud at the other end of the airfoil to support the airfoil, wherein a corner part is formed at a portion where the airfoil and the inner shroud or the outer shroud meet, the corner part including a first round portion connected in an arc shape to the inner shroud or the outer shroud, a first inclined portion connected to the first round portion and outwardly extending in an inclined shape, and a second round portion connected to the first inclined portion and outwardly extending in an arc shape.
Discharge door control ring for aircraft turbomachine and turbomachine comprising the same
A control ring for controlling discharge gates for an aircraft turbine engine extends around a casing of the turbine engine and includes a connector for connecting to the gates. The control ring includes metal sectors and composite material sectors. The metal sectors may be connected to one another by the composite material sectors and the connector may be carried by the metal sectors.
Turbomachine rotor blade with a cooling circuit having an offset rib
A rotor blade for a turbomachine is provided. The rotor blade includes a platform, an airfoil extending from the platform, and a cooling circuit extending within the platform and the airfoil. The cooling circuit includes a plurality of cooling passages defined by a plurality of ribs. The plurality of ribs includes an offset rib.
Airfoil with convex sides and multi-piece baffle
An airfoil includes an airfoil section that has an airfoil wall that defines a leading end, a trailing end, and first and second convex sides that join the leading end and the trailing end. The first and second convex sides span in a longitudinal direction between first and second ends. The first and second convex sides define lateral bounds of an internal core cavity, and the first and second convex sides converge toward each other at each of the first and second ends such that the internal core cavity constricts at the first and second ends. A multi-piece baffle is disposed in the internal core cavity and has a shape that is complementary to the first and second convex sides.
GEARED ARCHITECTURE GAS TURBINE ENGINE WITH PLANETARY GEAR OIL SCAVENGE
A fan drive gear system for a turbofan engine according to an exemplary embodiment of this disclosure, among other possible things includes a sun gear that is rotatable about an axis, a plurality of intermediate gears driven by the sun gear, and a baffle that is disposed between at least two of the plurality of intermediate gears for defining a lubricant flow path from an interface between the sun gear and at least one of the plurality of intermediate gears. The baffle includes a channel with at least one ramp portion directing lubricant.
TURBINE
A turbine includes a rotor including a rotation shaft that rotates around an axis and a blade row formed on an outer surface of the rotation shaft; a casing, which covers the rotor, has a casing inner surface being expanded radially outward approaching a downstream side of the casing in a direction of the axis; and an inner member body formed to line the casing inner surface of the casing such that an extraction port is formed between an upstream side end of the inner member body and the casing inner surface. A discharge port is formed between a downstream side end of the inner peripheral member body and the casing inner peripheral surface. The extraction port and the discharge port are formed in an annular shape centered on the axis. A flow path cross-sectional area of the discharge port is smaller than that of the extraction port.
VACUUM PUMP AND VACUUM PUMP COMPONENT
A vacuum pump and a vacuum pump component are provided that achieve the efficient heat dissipation of the rotor without changing the material or structure of stator blades or rotor blades. The vacuum pump includes a casing having a gas inlet port and a gas outlet port and a rotor configured to rotate in the casing. The vacuum pump is configured to exhaust gas from the gas inlet port to the gas outlet port by rotation of the rotor. The rotor substantially has the shape of a cylinder. A purge gas flows between the inner circumference surface of the rotor and the stator column that faces at least a part of the inner circumference surface of the rotor. A projection or a groove that disturbs the flow of the purge gas is provided in the flow passage of the purge gas.
Air turbine starter with primary and secondary air flow paths
An air turbine starter that includes a housing. The housing can circumscribe a turbine coupled that is coupled to a gear train in a gear box via a drive shaft. A primary air flow path is defined between a primary inlet and a primary outlet. Air in the primary air flow path can flow into a secondary air flow path or rotate the turbine, that converts energy from the air flow to rotational mechanical energy. Air in the secondary air flow path can pass through at least a first cavity and first passage before rejoining the primary air flow or joining ambient air.
Flow mixer duct for a bleed system
A duct for a bleed system of an aircraft, wherein the duct extends from an inlet section to an outlet section along a longitudinal axis, and wherein the duct comprises a continuous piece arranged on and protruding from the internal wall of the duct. The duct is subject to temperature gradients in order to reduce the temperature of the warmest airflow closer to the inner wall rather than rapidly mix the airflow.
