SERVOVALVE
A servovalve includes a fluid transfer valve assembly comprising a supply port and a control port, a moveable valve spool arranged to regulate flow of fluid from the supply port to the control port in response to a control signal, and a drive assembly configured to axially move the valve spool relative to the fluid transfer assembly in response to the control signal to regulate the fluid flow. The drive assembly includes a steerable member moveable by an amount determined by the control signal to cause corresponding movement of the valve spool. The drive assembly further includes piezoelectric actuator means configured to move said steerable member in response to the control signal.
NOZZLE WITH LOCKING NUT
A system is described for positioning and locking in place a nozzle within a cylindrical bore of a body, and a method for positioning and locking in place a nozzle within a cylindrical bore of a body is also described. The system has a nozzle having a tubular shape extending between a first end and a second end with an outer cylindrical surface and an inner surface, said inner surface comprising a thread. The system also has a locking member provided within said nozzle and comprising an outer circumferential surface having a thread that corresponds to the thread of the inner surface of the nozzle. The system also has means for providing torque to said locking member to screw said locking member into and within said nozzle via said threaded surfaces to thereby create a press-fit between said outer cylindrical surface and an inner surface of said cylindrical bore.
SERVOVALVE
A servovalve comprising: a fluid transfer valve assembly comprising a supply fluid port and a control port; and a moveable valve member arranged to regulate flow of fluid from the supply fluid port 4 to the control port in response to a control signal; wherein the fluid transfer valve assembly comprises a housing in which the supply fluid port and the control port are formed, and an insert positioned in the housing into which the moveable valve member extends and in which a fluid flow path is formed between the supply fluid port and the control port.
Pendulum-type electromagnetic actuator
A pendulum-type electromagnetic actuator is provided. The actuator includes a curved stationary member comprising a stationary core and a winding wound about the stationary core. A first moving member includes a first moving core and a first plurality of permanent magnets attached to the first moving core, the first moving member is curved and positioned on a first side of the stationary member. A second moving member includes a second moving core and a second plurality of permanent magnets attached to the second moving core, the second moving member is curved and position on a second side of the stationary member, the second side opposite the first side. The actuator further includes a pivot and a pivot connector connecting at least one of the first moving member and the second moving member to the pivot such that the curved moving member rotates about the pivot.
