The invention relates to an apparatus for charging a remote feedable circuit bioelectronic implanted in a patient or in a laboratory animal, said apparatus comprising a composable container configured to define a closed environment suitable to receive a patient or a laboratory animal, said container comprising a plurality of composable walls made of a nonmagnetic material and connected to each other so as to define said closed environment, said container comprising at least one first winding whose axis is arranged in a first direction (Z) and at least one second winding whose axis is arranged in a second direction (Y) perpendicular to said first direction (Z). The apparatus further comprises a system for powering and driving the windings of the composable container, said system comprising a switching power driver for each winding, a plurality of phase locked loop circuits respectively connected to each switching power driver and connected to a programmable logic circuit of the powering and driving system, said programmable logic circuit being configured to perform a phase comparison, the programmable logic circuit being in turn connected to a microprocessor of the powering and driving system, said microprocessor being configured to provide driving signals to the windings for generating inside the container a rotating magnetic field.
Apparatus and Method for Processing Containing Devices for Animals
Apparatus for processing containing devices reciprocally connected components, a reception station, and a washing station, and configured to wash the components. The washing station includes a first washer to wash at least one component the components and a second washer machine to wash at least one other component. The apparatus includes a first robotized manipulator at entry to pick up and separate from each other the components of each containing device and to feed at least one of the components toward the first washer machine and at least one other of the components toward the second washer machine. The apparatus includes a second robotized manipulator at exit configured to pick up the components exiting from the first washer machine and from the second washer machine after they have been processed and to assemble them with respect to each other.

The invention relates to behavioral experiments with rodents, and especially to monitoring, data collection and control of such experiments. This invention provides a method for automatically observing the behavior of rodents in a way that provides accurate determination of location and direction of the head of the rodent, even in darkness under infrared light, by determining the location and the direction of the rodent's head on the basis of the triangle formed by the ears and the snout of the rodent.
Wireless automated animal monitoring system
A smart cage includes radiofrequency transceivers and tags attached to laboratory animals. The tags include sensors to detect monitorable conditions of the laboratory animals. The sensors include working electrodes, counter electrodes, reference electrodes, and potentiostats. The top surface of the electrodes is coated with ionophores or enzymes which detect the monitorable conditions of the laboratory animals.

The mobile platform is adapted to glide over the perforated upper surface and includes a base defining an upwardly facing surface and a downwardly facing surface, at least one sidewall circumscribing the upwardly facing surface, and at least one partition wall dimensioned and arranged to divide the downwardly facing surface into a plurality of downwardly facing open compartments. The base defines a first profile having a first maximum dimension, and the perforated upper surface defines a second profile having a second maximum dimension, such that the ratio of the second maximum dimension to the first maximum dimension is less than 2 to 1.

A fluid delivery system for delivering a fluid from an automatic water source to animals housed in cages in high density caging systems may comprise a flexible, non-metal, hose-type manifold line having a plurality of circular apertures and a plurality of injection molded plastic saddle fittings each configured to fit into an aperture. Each cage location may comprise two apertures opposite one other and two saddle fittings fit thereto. The saddle fittings may further comprise a U-shaped portion configured to fit around the flexible manifold line, an inward-facing protrusion sized and configured to penetrate and seal to an aperture, and one or more ribs to seal the aperture and/or grip the flexible manifold.
