Fastening structure and fastening method
A fastening member for fastening two or more components, ensuring a high degree of freedom in terms of fastening positions and objects, reducing the number of holes, preventing the rotation of the components and the fastening member in one-point fastening, and maintaining high strength and resistance against vibration after fastening. Specifically, a fastening structure for fastening the first and second components, which comprises a first component, a pin that has non-helical grooves running in a circumferential direction and aligned along a longitudinal direction and whose one end in the longitudinal direction is bonded to the first component, a second component that has an insertion hole for inserting the pin, and a collar that is fitted around and bonded to the pin so that the second component is positioned between the collar and the first component, wherein said second component is prevented from rotating with respect to said pin.
FASTENER
A fastener, in particular of a chassis component, has at least one sensor and at least one transmitter of a monitoring device for monitoring at least one mechanical fastening parameter. At least one power supply unit is associated with the transmitter, that the transmitter and the power supply unit are connected to one another by means of a switching contact, that an electrical connection can be closed by means of the switching contact, that the switching contact is designed in such a way that the electrical connection is open when the fastener is installed properly and is closed only when the fastener is released, and that the transmitter is supplied with current and transmits a signal only when the electrical connection of the switching contact is closed.
Self-sealing fastener and method of use
A self-sealing fastener for reducing leaks between the self-sealing fastener and a substrate. The self-sealing fastener includes a shank that extends longitudinally between a first end and a second end. The shank has an outer surface. The self-sealing fastener also includes a head that extends radially outwardly from the first end of the shank. The head has an underside surface that is adjacent to the first end of the shank and a topside surface opposite the underside surface. A mastic sealant is disposed on at least one of the outer surface of the shank and the underside surface of the head to provide a water-tight seal between the self-sealing fastener and the substrate after the self-sealing fastener is installed in the substrate.
Threaded Fastener
A threaded fastener includes a head, a shank extending from the head, and a. cone portion. The head includes a top portion and an annular side wall extending downwardly from a periphery of the top portion. The cone portion is formed between the shank and the top portion and has a peripheral surface tapering from the top portion to the shank. An annular groove is created between the annular side wall and the cone portion for development of an accommodating space with an opening downward in a bottom of the head. The annular groove is surrounded by an inner surface of the annular side wall, the peripheral surface of the cone portion, and a bottom wall of the top portion connected between the annular side wall and the cone portion.
THREADED FASTENER
A threaded fastener includes a bolt and a washer. The washer has a washer main body and a seal member provided at an outer peripheral side of the washer main body. The washer is caulked and fixed to a shank portion of the bolt in a water stop state, and the seal member is in contact with a fastened member in a water stop state, with a bearing surface of the washer main body held in contact with the fastened member. The seal member is provided on its outer periphery with a protrusion portion that protrudes outward beyond a radially outer end of a contact portion of the seal member with the washer in a no-load state. A back surface of the protrusion portion on the opposite side of the fastened member is an inclined surface.
MECHANICAL FUSE
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a mechanical fuse having a first component having an opening in a lower wall and a ledge arranged around the opening and a second component having a top surface with a threaded opening arranged therein. The top surface of the second component may be oriented towards the first component such that the top surface is arranged entirely below the lower wall in order to enable the first component and the second component to pivot relative to one another at the bolt. The mechanical fuse may also include a bolt having a neck including a reduced cross-sectional area portion, and the bolt is configured to break and separate the first component from the second component when a predetermined amount of force is transmitted from the first component to the reduced cross-sectional area portion via the pivoting.
Screw-type fastener
A screw includes: a head end, a shank and a tapered end, the head end including a tool engaging part, the head end located at one end of the shank and the tapered end located at an opposite end of the shank, wherein a thread is formed along the shank, the thread begins on the tapered end, extends onto the shank and terminates at a set location short of the head end, the thread being a right-hand thread and having a peripheral edge, at least a first helical portion of the peripheral edge includes a plurality of notches and a second helical portion of the thread lacks any notches, wherein the first helical portion is closer to the tapered end than the second helical portion, wherein the head includes an underside formed by a frustoconical part with a plurality of nibs. The head may also include an outer ledge.
BOLT RETAINER CONFIGURATION TO HOLD A POSITION OF A BOLT WITHIN A COMPONENT
A bolt retainer, to position a bolt within a bolt receiving element of a component, is disclosed. The bolt retainer may include a tube structure. The bolt retainer may further include bolt engaging elements that extend from an inner surface of the tube structure to engage with the bolt. The bolt retainer may additionally include component engaging elements that extend from an outer surface of the tube structure to engage with the component.
BUCKLE ASSEMBLY AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE USING THE SAME
A buckle assembly and an electronic device using the same are provided. The buckle assembly is adapted to be assembled on a housing of the electronic device. The housing has an inner surface and a first hole. The buckle assembly includes an assembly element, a slider, and an abutting member. The assembly element is assembled in the first hole along a first direction; the slider is disposed on the inner surface of the housing and is capable of moving relative to the housing along a second direction to lock or unlock the assembly element, wherein the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction; and the abutting member is disposed on the inner surface of the housing and is used to abut against the slider when the slider locks the assembly element.
