Grounding Countersunk Screw with Segment Cutting Edge
20210062854 · 2021-03-04 ·

A ground connection with a grounding screw having a countersunk head with a countersinking region and having a cylindrical threaded shaft, proceeding from the countersunk head, for the mechanical and electrical connection of a first sheet-metal part to another metal part is described, wherein the first sheet-metal part resting on the head side of the grounding screw has a varnish layer on all sides, said varnish layer is broken through by a protrusion, proceeding from a countersinking region of the head, when the screw is tightened, wherein the head-side borehole is cylindrical and provided with a diameter D1 that is slightly smaller than the head diameter D2 of the head, and wherein the sheet edge of the first sheet-metal part uses, as counterbearing, the oblique circumferential surface of the grounding screw, which cuts through the varnish when the screw is tightened, without creating varnish chips. At the same time, the segment cutting edge or protrusion centres the grounding screw in the cylindrical borehole.

A screw includes a shank having a head, a point, a threaded section and a knurling section. The threaded section is located between the head and the point. The knurling section is located between the head and the threaded section. The knurling section includes a first set of grooves consisting of a plurality of first grooves and a second set of grooves consisting of a plurality of second grooves. The plurality of first grooves extends in a first angle relative to an axis of the shank. The plurality of second grooves extends in a second angle relative to the axis of the shank not parallel to the first angle. The first angle is equal to or larger than 0 degrees. The first grooves have unequal spacing. The first grooves intersect with the second grooves to form a plurality of intersecting zones with peaks and ridges of different sizes and shapes.

INSULATION SCREW AND METHOD FOR INSERTING SUCH AN INSULATION SCREW

A screw, especially for wood, has a knurled region (10) with two sets (11A, 11B) of ribs (11) that are offset from each other by an azimuth angle. For example, the two sets of ribs extend towards each other from opposite ends (10A, 10B) of the knurled region (10) and are intertwined only in an overlap region (12) that is at the middle of the knurled region.

Frameless construction using single and double plenum panels

A method of constructing a building comprising the steps of attaching a first panel to a second panel. The first panel is one of a single plenum panel and a multi-plenum panel and the second panel is one of a single plenum panel and a multi-plenum panel.

SELF DRILLING SCREW
