When the groove is not aligned with the trough, the bolt and the nut are not locked by the engagement member; when the groove is aligned with the trough, the bolt and the nut are elastically locked by the engagement member.
TWO-PIECE BARREL NUT
A two-piece barrel nut includes an internal nut with an externally threaded portion on one end and a plurality of engageable members on the opposite end, and an external nut with an internally threaded portion on one end that receives the externally threaded portion of the internal nut and one or more receptacles on the other end that each may receive a fastener that engages at least one of the plurality of engageable members on the internal nut to lock the external nut to the internal nut. A method for using the barrel nut to attach a barrel to a firearm is also disclosed.
INSERT SCREW SLEEVE, CONNECTING BOLT, BOLT-SLEEVE COMBINATION, AND COMPONENT THEREWITH
An insert threaded sleeve (1) includes a shank portion (2) extending substantially cylindrically along a sleeve axis (z) for insertion into a hole (32) or a bore; a disc portion (3) terminates the shank portion at an axial end and extends it outward at a right angle to the sleeve axis; a through-hole (5) extends along the sleeve axis through the disc portion and the shank portion for receiving a screw bolt; a component anti-rotation means (11) is configured on an outer surface (10) of the shank portion or on an underside of the disc portion facing toward the shank portion; and a screw anti-rotation structure (15) is configured on a surface (14) of the disc portion facing away from the shank portion. A connecting screw and a screw-sleeve combination are also provided.

Bolt provided with an anti-rotation device
A bolt comprising a threaded shaft having at least one helical thread and at least one longitudinal groove, a nut having a tapped hole configured to be screwed onto the threaded shaft, and at least one diagonal slot which includes a first opening end and a second non-opening end. The diagonal slot is inclined from the first end towards the second end in the same direction as the helical thread of the threaded shaft. An anti-rotation device is configured to rotationally immobilize the nut with respect to the threaded shaft and comprises a ring which surrounds at least the threaded shaft and which has at least one first toe configured to be housed in the longitudinal groove of the threaded shaft and in the diagonal slot of the nut, in operation.

ANTI-LOOSENING DEVICE FOR A FASTENING UNIT OF A MOTOR-VEHICLE WHEEL
An anti-loosening device for a fastening unit of a motor-vehicle wheel is configured to be coupled with a wheel hub. The anti-loosening device is configured to be arranged within the wheel hub along an axial direction, so that a main axis of the anti-loosening device coincides with the wheel axis. The anti-loosening device includes a gear arranged to cooperate with inner teeth of the wheel hub, an elastic element extending axially with respect to the gear, and a coupling element obtained on a sector of said gear, arranged to receive a corresponding fastening. During assembly of the wheel—hub assembly, the anti-loosening device is arranged to create a compressed configuration, wherein the gear is decoupled with respect to the inner teeth, and is arranged within a cavity portion obtained on the inner surface of the wheel hub, so as to allow rotation of the anti-loosening device around the main axis.
Apparatus for tightening threaded fasteners
Apparatus for use in operations of tightening and/or loosening threaded fasteners of the kind having a nut and stud about an axis are disclosed and include: a threaded assembly threadedly engageable with exposed threads of the stud above the nut and either a nut, a tool socket and/or a tool housing engagement assembly. Torque tools of the kind having a pass-through socket including the apparatus are disclosed. And systems including the torque tools of the kind having a pass-through socket including the apparatus and threaded fasteners are disclosed. Advantageously holding plate assemblies of the present invention: allow torque tools and/or drive extension links with through sockets to be used in vertical, inverted and/or tight clearance bolting applications; allow for simultaneous operation of multiple such tools on such bolting applications to achieve Parallel Joint Closure™; account for bolting application having long and/or protruding studs; and increase bolting speed and safety, efficiency, reliability and repeatability.
