ILLUMINATION DEVICE
20230143772 · 2023-05-11 ·

An illumination device comprising an optical plate extending over a plurality of LEDs arranged on a PCB main surface of a PCB. In a mounted configuration said PCB and optical plate are mutually connected by fasteners. Each fastener extends with play in a plane parallel to said PCB main surface through a through hole in the optical plate in a direction transverse to said PCB main surface. The through hole has a wide portion extending over a depth D from a first main surface of the optical plate facing away from the PCB towards a second main surface of the optical plate facing towards the PCB, and said through hole is narrowed to a neck portion at said depth D. Furthermore, each fastener rests on a resilient washer seated in the wide portion of said through hole.

Self-retaining shear pin for blind mount location
09829029 · 2017-11-28 · ·

A shear pin connection for use in a difficult to access location has a bolt head to be positioned at an inner end of a bearing. A bushing is received between the bolt and an inner periphery of the bearing. A lock member is positioned between an inner end of the bushing and the bolt head. The lock member is radially expandable, and has a free radially outer dimension that is smaller than an inner dimension of the inner bore. The lock member is expandable to have an expanded radially outer dimension that is greater than the inner dimension of the inner bore. A nut is tightened on the outer end of the bolt. The nut causes the bushing to move relative to the bolt, and causes the lock member to expand radially. A shackle connection for a gas turbine engine and an aircraft are also disclosed.

BOLT TENSIONING SYSTEM
20170334048 · 2017-11-23 ·

Embodiments disclosed herein generally relate to a system and method for tensioning a bolt. The bolt tensioning system may be used with variable length connection members, for example studs, in any one or more of the drilling, subsea, and process industries to couple a first member to a second member. The bolt tensioning system may remain coupled to the first member and the second member, while applying tension to all of the bolts at the same time, rather than having to torque or tension each bolt individually. The bolt system may accurately and uniformly tension all bolts in a single operation to provide reliable connections.

Spring mechanisms for display enclosures

In some examples, a device can include a display coupled to a locking mechanism, wherein the locking mechanism applies a first force in a first direction, an enclosure coupled to the display with the locking mechanism, and a spring mechanism coupled to the enclosure and the locking mechanism to prevent a tension level between the display and the enclosure from exceeding a tension threshold, wherein the spring mechanism applies a second force in a second direction.
