PEST RESISTANT BIRD FEEDER

Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for resisting intrusion by a pest. In one implementation, a reservoir extends between a proximal end and a distal end, and the reservoir defines an interior. A basin is mounted to the reservoir. The basin has a basin body and a basin surface. A sleeve assembly has a sleeve body and a port defined in the sleeve body. A tensioner translationally mounts the sleeve body relative to the basin body. The sleeve body translates distally from an accessible position to an occluded position when a weight applied to the sleeve assembly exceeds a weight threshold set by the tensioner. The accessible position includes bird food on the basin surface being accessible through the port. The occluded position includes the port being disposed distal to the basin surface such that the bird food on the basin surface is inaccessible through the port.

The feed leveler on a poultry feeder has a plurality of feet provided on an inward facing surface of the feed skirt. A feed pan has a pedestal extending up from a pan floor configured to engage with one of the plurality of feet. Each foot is positioned at a different vertical position along a longitudinal axis of the feed leveler. The pan floor has a central core, wherein a lower portion of a drop tube extends through the central core and a retainer is fastened to a bottom end of the drop tube to mount the feed pan and feed leveler on the drop tube such that the feed pan and the feed leveler can slide along a vertical axis of the drop tube so the poultry feeder engages a ground surface on which the feed pan is received in a telescoping manner.

Bird feeder

A bird feeder includes a pushbutton activated positioning mechanism in a hub of a hinged cover for fastening or unfastening a rope having a bottom end secured to a feeding pan. The cover is releasably secured to a seed container by a latch. Together they prevent the cover from being accidentally disengaged from the seed container.

A container includes a plurality of panels connected together at fold lines to extend at least partially around an interior space. A plurality of end flaps are each foldably connected to a respective one of the panels. The end flaps are overlapped with one another to enclose an end of the interior space. One of the end flaps is a main bird-feeder flap. A side bird-feeder flap foldably connected to the main bird-feeder flap. The main bird-feeder flap and the side bird-feeder flap are configured to deploy from a closed position cooperating with the plurality of end flaps to enclose the end of the interior space, to an open position with the main bird-feeder flap hinged outward from the interior space to form an opening in the end of the interior space, and with the side bird-feeder flap forming a side of the opening.

BIRD FEEDER SUPPORT
20230329195 · 2023-10-19 ·

A bird feeder support for preventing or inhibiting the movement or swinging of a bird feeder when suspended from, or otherwise supported by, a support pole. The bird feeder support comprises a mount, such as a tube and screw, or a coil arrangement, which is releasably connectable to a support pole. A strut extends from the mount and holds at its distal end, a support in the form of a ring or a C-shaped member. The ring or C-shaped member partially or fully surrounds a part of a tubular bird feeder suspended from the support pole, so as to prevent it from swinging in the wind. Alternatively, the ring or C-shaped member can be used to support a dish bird feeder, also in a substantially fixed relationship to the support pole.

Feeding system for poultry

The present disclosure envisages a feeding system for poultry. The system includes a plurality of first and second pan assemblies that are attached to a conveyor. The conveyor is driven by a main drive unit consisting of combination of prime mover/s and push belt drive to facilitate simultaneous movement of the pan assemblies. An IFH-station is provided for supplying ration to the pan assemblies. The difference in physical characteristic of male and female birds is considered while designing the first and second pan assemblies to deter the male and female birds to access ration from each other's pan assemblies. The system helps in proper ration quantity to male and female birds to enhance their economic value.

A bird feeder comprises a main body including a food hopper, and a removable tray. The tray may be removed from the main body, and when the tray is removed apertures at the bottom of the main body are automatically closed, sealing the main body and preventing food from falling out. When the tray is attached, the apertures are automatically opened. The tray of the bird feeder can therefore be removed very easily for cleaning. Another tray may be provided for installation on the main body while the first tray is being cleaned. Cleaning may be for example by soaking in disinfectant for a few days, or drying out over a similar period. These treatments are effective to kill Trichomonas gallinae, thus limiting the spread of trichomonosis among garden birds, especially greenfinches.

Poultry feeder light and light assembly

A lighting system for a poultry feeding house includes a wire harness attachable to an existing feeding house shocker wire or feed auger pipe and a lighting fixture positioned beneath the wire harness and positionable on the feed auger pipe. The lighting fixture includes dual-color LED components using two independently controlled channels. A wire connection secured to the wire harness encapsulates wire leads to power and control the lighting fixture.
