Split tapered roller bearing

A bearing assembly includes a split inner race ring configured to be installed on a shaft and defines two raceways for supporting rolling elements. A split clamping band is configured to be installed over the split inner race ring to secure the split inner race ring on the shaft. A split seal wear ring is configured to be installed on an outer diameter surface of the split clamping band. An engagement interface between the split clamping band and the split seal wear ring includes a boss on one of the split clamping band and the split seal wear ring, and an aperture on the other one of the split clamping band and the split seal wear ring. The aperture is sized and configured to receive the boss for positioning the split seal wear ring on the split clamping band.

Center bearing assembly

A center bearing assembly for use in a motor vehicle. The center bearing assembly includes a cushion portion having an axially extending bearing aperture therein having a size and shape to receive and/or retain at least a portion of a bearing assembly therein. The cushion portion of the center bearing assembly has one or more first retention portions that are selectively engagable with one or more second retention portions of a bracket portion. When the one or more first retention portions of the cushion portion are engaged with the one or more second retention portions of the bracket portion, the cushion portion is prevented from being rotated relative to the bracket portion.

PROTECTIVE BEARING ASSEMBLY COVER WITH INTEGRATED CLOSURE

A protective cover has an inner surface that is sized and shaped to fit the outer surface of a bearing assembly and includes a main body having two partial sections connectable by a lateral closure such as a zipper. Each partial section defines an outwardly projecting portion that corresponds with the bearing assembly's shaft. The two partial sections are joined to surround and protect a bearing assembly, including the adjoining shaft portions. The covered assembly can be further protected from the environment by applying a sealant to the closure device, and to the interface between the cover and shaft.

Shaft assembly

A shaft assembly may include two or more Poka-Yoke bearing caps, each Poka-Yoke bearing cap having a pair of reference bores offset from a central axis of the bearing cap by differing offset distances, and each bearing cap defining a semi-circular recess that is positioned so as to align in use a central axis of the semi-cylindrical recess in the bearing cap with an axis of rotation of a shaft rotatably supported by the bearing cap. The differing offsets of the reference bores prevent the bearing cap from being assembled in a reversed orientation. To ensure that each bearing cap can only be fitted in one position, a centre spacing between the first and second reference bores of each bearing cap is different to the centre spacing used for other bearing caps used to support a single shaft.

Split tapered roller bearing

A bearing assembly (100) includes a split inner race ring (115) configured to be installed on a shaft (25) and defines two raceways (135, 140) for supporting rolling elements (150,155). A split clamping band (170) is configured to be installed over the split inner race ring (115) to secure the split inner race ring (115) on the shaft (25). A split seal wear ring (290, 295) is configured to be installed on an outer diameter surface of the split clamping band (170). An engagement interface between the split clamping band (170) and the split seal wear ring (290, 295) includes a boss (340) on one of the split clamping band (170) and the split seal wear ring (290, 295), and an aperture (355) on the other one of the split clamping band (170) and the split seal wear ring (290, 295). The aperture (355) is sized and configured to receive the boss (340) for positioning the split seal wear ring (290, 295) on the split clamping band (170).

System For Securing Together by Means of Press-Fitting a Casing and a Cover of a Housing Element

A housing element for applications in the manufacturing industry having a casing and a cover both made of metallic material, wherein the casing is provided with a groove and a flat mounting surface and the cover is provided with an end portion having a frustoconical side wall, an oblique annular bottom wall, and a securing system consisting in inserting the end portion of the cover inside the groove of the casing, wherein an interference (i) between a radially outer end of the end portion of the cover and a radially inner end of the flat mounting surface of the casing assumes values of between 0.2 mm and 0.5 mm and an angle () defined between the frustoconical side wall of the end portion of the cover and the flat mounting surface of the casing assumes values of between 45 and 80. The interference and the angle facilitate the insertion of the end portion of the cover inside the groove of the casing.

Bearing guard and shaft cover

A bearing guard is provided that comprises a housing having an open end, a first face, and a second face. A first opening is defined by the first face. The first opening is configured to receive a shaft guard. A second opening is defined by the second face. A cap is positioned over the second opening and is removably coupled to the second face. The cap extends a predetermined distance from the second face.

LOAD SENSING BEARING WITH INTEGRATED SENSOR MODULE

A bearing assembly may include an integral sensor module retained within a bore in the bearing housing. The sensor module includes at least one strain gauge oriented to sense a compressive load acting on the bearing housing. The sensor module may be retained within the bore under an axial compressive load. The sensor module may include a power source and a wired or wireless communications module for transmitting information indicative of the compressive load to an external instrument or other system.
