Also disclosed is an adjusting assembly which comprises the described one-way damping structure (1). A seat height adjuster utilizes one-way damping properties in which the spring (11) of the one-way damping structure (1) generates different torques in different rotation directions; moreover, in combination with a traditional output structure (2) and an installation structure (3), a driver (4) continues to stably defy a fixed load so as to work when the seat is adjusted downwards under the load, and the lifting ability is unaffected when the seat is adjusted upwards.

Provided is a novel bidirectional torque limiter, which allows setting a slip torque for a case of inputting rotation from a driving part to be smaller than a slip torque for a case of inputting rotation from a driven part. The force of an external coil spring 42 to clamp an outer race 8 is set smaller than the force of an internal coil spring 48 to clamp an inner race 10, so that the external coil spring 42 increases its diameter to slip with respect to the outer race 8 when a rotation torque is applied from the driving part, while the internal coil spring 48 increases its diameter to slip with respect to the inner race 10 when a rotation torque is applied from the driven part.

An adjuster for an air disc brake includes an over-torque clutch arrangement that includes an adjuster drive plate having ramped detents, and a ball-carrying plate having pockets for retaining ball bearings. Ball bearings are carried and retained in the ball-carrying plate, and transmit rotation between the adjuster drive plate and the ball-carrying plate below a torque threshold. Above a torque threshold, the balls move axially away from the adjuster drive plate against the force of a spring, and ride up the ramped detents. Above the torque threshold, rotation is not transmitted.

In one aspect, there is provided a decoupler for an accessory drive for an engine. The decoupler includes a decoupler input member and a decoupler output member. One of the decoupler input member and the decoupler output member has a clutch engagement surface. The decoupler further includes a wrap spring clutch and an isolation spring that act in series in a torque path between the decoupler input member and the decoupler output member. The wrap spring clutch has a radially inner surface and a radially outer surface. One of the radially inner and outer surfaces engages the clutch engagement surface in an interference fit with the clutch engagement surface. The decoupler further includes a volume of lubricant. During sufficiently high acceleration of the decoupler input member, there is slippage at the wrap spring clutch for a selected period of time after which the slippage stops.
