Lace tightening apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for aiding a handicapped person or a child to tighten the laces on shoes and other forms of wearing apparel with only one finger. If a long handled hook is used the person does not even have to bend over to fasten the laces. Even an able bodied person will be able to fasten shoes, or other apparel faster than the current process.
CABLE SECURING DEVICE
A cable securing device facilitates secure connection to a cabling end, and employs a retaining cap, a compression member, a barrel with a tapered interior wall and a fastening device.
Stake with cord lock
A cord locking apparatus is described that includes an anchoring portion operative to be secured to a surface; and a cord lock portion having: a bottom coupled to the anchoring portion, and a top, a front, a first side, a second side, and a central axis defined between the top and the bottom; a channel extending from the front to one of the first side or second side along the bottom in a channel orientation direction, the channel operative to receive a cord therethrough; and a lock slot on the front side comprising a channel end at a bottom of the slot and a lock end at the top of the slot, and operative to receive and hold the cord in a tension lock direction at an angle to the channel orientation direction.
CORD COUPLING SYSTEM
A cord coupling system is provided. The cord coupling system includes a housing with a first half, a second half, a top surface, an opposed bottom surface, a front surface, and a rear surface. The housing includes a set of channels. The set of channels have a pair of rotatable jaws partially disposed therein and a pair of gates are adjacent to the pair of rotatable jaws. The pair of rotatable jaws and the pair of gates rotate between a first position and a second position.
SECURING DEVICE
A securing arrangement (10) comprises an elongate article (14) and a securing device (12). The securing device (12) has a body (20) and first and second clamping members (28) within the body (20) for clamping the elongate article (14). The clamping members (28) are disposed in an opposed position relative to one another. The elongate article (14) comprises a plurality of strands (16A-16F) wound around one another in a plurality of turns of each strand. Each strand (16A-16F) has substantially the same pitch as each other strand, and each clamping member (28) has an engaging surface (57) for engaging the elongate article (14). Each engaging surface (57) is configured to engage half or more of the total number of strands forming the elongate article (14).
CORD LOCK
A cord lock has a housing with an interior cavity and an opening extending between the front and the back for receiving a cord, and an actuator having two legs that are configured to slide within the interior cavity of the housing. A spring is disposed between the housing and the actuator to bias the actuator in a raised position relative to the housing. There is a cam disposed in the interior cavity of the housing. The bottom of the cam is rotatably connected to the housing and the top is rotatably connected to the legs of the actuator. In a resting position, the spring presses the top of the cam against the housing such that when a cord is extended through the opening, the cam locks the cord in place between the cam and the housing. Depressing the actuator compresses the spring and rotates the cam.
Handle for a cognitive training device and cognitive training device comprising same
Cognitive training handle designed to be connected by a longitudinal connecting means to a connection means on a ball, said handle also comprising a means for adjusting the length of said longitudinal connecting means.
Cord lock
A cord lock includes a female member having a first opening, a second opening, an insertion path for a string therebetween, and female-side fastening portions formed in the insertion path, a male member having one portion entering into the insertion path from a side of the first opening, and male-side fastening portions at the one portion adapted to be fastened to the string inserted to pass through the insertion path in cooperation with the female-side fastening portions, and a spring member interposed between the female member and the male member. The fastening relative to the string is released by a pulling operation of reducing an entering amount of the one portion of the male member into the insertion path. A first contact portion of the spring member is integrally formed with the female member, and a second contact portion of the spring member is integrally formed with the male member.
Rapid cord fastener
A fastener assembly for securing a string and/or netting includes a cord fastener and a cord. A cord fastener includes: a body including a base wall; a clasp disposed on the base wall; and an opening disposed on the base wall and spaced apart from the clasp. The base wall has a curved surface between the clasp and the opening. A cord is detachably coupled to the cord fastener and extends through at least one of the clasp or the opening.
Automated footwear lacing systems, devices, and techniques
In an example, a lacing engine apparatus can include a housing and a drivetrain. The housing can be securable within a footwear article. The drivetrain can include a motor, a sun gear, a planet gear, a rotating ring gear, and a spool. The spool can be secured to the ring gear and can be rotatable therewith. The spool can be configured to control a lace of the footwear article and can be configured to wind the lace as the ring gear rotates in a first direction.
