IMPROVED FILTERING PULLEY

Filtering pullies with a hub adapted to be fixed to a rotating shaft, a crown mounted coaxially and rotationally free on the hub, at least one elastic group arranged circumferentially with respect to the hub and the crown and interposed, each, between a pair of first elements integral with the hub and between a pair of second elements integral with the crown are disclosed. The pulley has a dust protection system configured to isolate the at least one elastic group with respect to the external environment and to provide an axial force generating a damping to the movement between the hub and the crown.

PULLEY ASSEMBLY

A pulley assembly connecting an ISG driveshaft of an ISG and an engine to each other through a belt may include: a pulley member around which the belt is wound; a spring hub fixed to an internal peripheral surface of the pulley member; an ISG hub rotatably disposed when the ISG hub is distanced from an internal peripheral surface of the spring hub by a predetermined interval and connected to the ISG driveshaft; a limit device provided in the spring hub and ISG hub and limiting a rotation of the ISG hub to rotation by a predetermined rotation angle; and a plurality of leaf springs radially inserted into the spring hub in a circumferential direction thereof, and having one end portions fixed to the spring hub and the other end portions penetrating the ISG hub.

The clutch connects the crankshaft to the pulley body through the pulley adapter during an operation condition of the engine, and the clutch releases the connection of the crankshaft to the pulley body through the pulley adapter during the stopping condition of the engine.

Torsional vibration dampers for FEADs are disclosed that include a hub having a sleeve defining a bore for receiving a shaft and an outer annular ring spaced radially outward from the sleeve, thereby defining an annular receptacle, a component for rotation with the hub having an inner annular ring disposed between the sleeve and the outer annular ring of the hub, and an annular cartridge seated in the annular receptacle between the inner annular ring of the component for rotation with the hub and the sleeve or outer annular ring of the hub. The annular cartridge defines a first annular groove having a generally C-shaped or U-shaped cross-sectional profile open radially outward, and has a first elastomer member seated therein in compression, thereby operatively coupling the component for rotation with the hub to the hub. The component may be a pulley body or an inertia member.

A decoupler is provided that includes a pulley around which a belt is wound. A sprag limiter is fixed to an interior circumference of the pulley and has protrusions formed at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction on an interior circumference thereof. A sprag hub is disposed in the sprag limiter and has first apertures formed at predetermined intervals from an interior circumference to an exterior circumference thereof. A shaft hub is disposed in the sprag hub and has second apertures that are formed to correspond to the first apertures from an interior circumference to an exterior circumference thereof. Sprags having lower end portions are each inserted into the second apertures, central portions are each inserted into the first apertures, and upper end portions are in contact with the interior circumference of the sprag limiter, and allow the shaft hub to rotate in one direction based on the pulley movement.

Damper cover and attachment interface for a crankshaft damper

Methods and systems are provided for a crankshaft damper cover for a crankshaft damper of a crankshaft in an engine. In one example, a crankshaft damper cover shaped to fit within a cavity of a crankshaft damper and including an inset and an annular ring embedded within the inset, where the annular ring includes tabs adapted to mate with an inner surface of the crankshaft damper. As one example, the inset may be comprised of a damping material, such as plastic or foam.
