Lubrication system
11719385 · 2023-08-08 · ·

A lubrication system comprises a lubricant reservoir, a lubricant supply passage fluidly connecting the lubricant reservoir and a space requiring lubrication, and a lubricant supply pump. The supply pump includes a piston having a first piston head slidably received in a chamber in fluid communication with the lubricant reservoir and a second piston head slidably received in a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber is divided into a first and second cavities by the second piston head. The first cavity is between the first piston head and second piston head. The first and second cavities are placeable in fluid communication with pressure sources externally of the pumping chamber to provide a pressure differential between the first cavity and the second cavity, whereby the piston may move as a result of the pressure differential to cause the first piston head to dispense lubricant from the lubricant reservoir to the space.

Methods and systems are provided for rear axle having a wet bath. In one example, a system comprises a pump configured to spin in a first direction to flow lubricant to a cooler and a second direction to entrain the lubricant with gas.

Vehicle Transmission

A vehicle transmission includes a transmission housing defining an oil sump space and a hybrid space, with the hybrid space being arranged vertically above the oil sump space. The transmission further includes a first oil guide shell and a second oil guide shell each fixed to the transmission housing. Additionally, the transmission includes rotating components installable in a portion of the hybrid space between the first oil guide shell and the second oil guide shell in an axial direction, where the rotating components includes at least one electric machine, a damper, and a torsional shock absorber. Two contactless gap seals are formed by one of the oil guide shells and at least one of the rotating components such that oil entry from the oil sump into the portion of the hybrid space is delimited axially by the oil guide shells and radially by the gap seals.

A work vehicle drive includes a housing; an electric machine at least partially housed within the housing, configured to generate rotational power, and comprising an interface coupling at an electric machine output; a transmission at least partially housed within the housing, rotationally coupled to the interface coupling, and configured to transfer at least a portion of the mechanical power from the electric machine to a drive output; a pump at least partially housed within the housing and configured to facilitate circulation of lubrication fluid about the transmission, wherein the pump is selectively driven, in a first mode of operation, by the rotational power of the electric machine; and a solenoid device at least partially housed within the housing and configured to selectively drive the pump in a second mode of operation.

ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT WITH INTEGRATED, VARIABLE FLOW, LOW-PRESSURE OIL COOLING SYSTEM
20230304572 · 2023-09-28 ·

An electric drive unit with an electric motor, a differential assembly, a transmission that transmits rotary power from the electric motor to the differential assembly, and a pair of output shafts that are rotatably coupled to respective differential output members of the differential assembly. The electric drive unit is configured to provide low cost, reliable cooling and/or lubrication to various components of the electric drive unit.

Lubrication system

Various implementations described herein are directed to a lubrication system for a gearbox of an aircraft. A lubrication line is coupled to a plurality of jets and/or orifices to provide lubrication to one or more components of the gearbox. A check valve is placed within the lubrication line in a location upstream from the plurality of jets and/or orifices.

IN-WHEEL DRIVING APPARATUS AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME

According to the present disclosure, an in-wheel driving apparatus includes a first planetary gear reducer, into which oil is introduced, and a flow passage is formed in an interior of the first planetary gear reducer such that the oil introduced into the first planetary gear reducer flows in an introduction direction, and flows in a direction that is opposite to the introduction direction thereafter.

VEHICLE DRIVE APPARATUS

An intermediate wall is provided with a return oil hole through which oil discharged from a friction engagement device returns toward an oil reservoir. A chain drive is disposed adjacent to the intermediate wall. The chain drive transmits a driving force from an input member and/or a rotary electric machine to an oil pump. There is provided an oil guide through which oil flowing through the return oil hole is guided to a region other than a chain placement region inside a case. The chain placement region is a region where a chain of the chain drive is placed.

HYDRAULIC GEROTOR PUMP FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

A hydraulic gerotor pump for an automatic transmission may comprise a housing and a gear set rotatably disposed within the housing. The gear set may comprise an inner gear and an outer gear having radially opposed intermeshing teeth that together define a plurality of circumferentially disposed variable volume pumping chambers therebetween. The housing may be made of a first aluminum-based material, and the inner gear and the outer gear of the gear set may be made of a second aluminum-based material. The linear coefficient of thermal expansion of the first aluminum-based material may be substantially the same as that of the second aluminum-based material.
