Inverted truss geometry for agricultural spray boom
A boom truss structure for an agricultural sprayer that includes boom segments on either side of the sprayer, including primary boom segments, secondary boom segments attached to the primary boom segments at a first hinge, and breakaway boom segments attached to the secondary boom segments at a second hinge. The primary boom segment includes truss elements extending upwardly from a base support member. The secondary boom also includes a base support member, but with an inverted underside truss support member that is located underneath the base support member instead of on top of the base support member. This allows the secondary boom segment to fold on top of the primary boom segment in a compact manner about a lower pivot axis. Additionally, the breakaway boom segment may be folded initially about the secondary boom segment, after which the secondary boom segment is folded about the primary boom segment.
Systems and methods for power line detection during spraying application and boom folding
An agricultural machine includes a chassis, a center frame mounted for vertical movement, and laterally extendable right and left foldable booms. A sprayer boom controller includes positioning data. A first identification system transmits a predefined frequency radio signal at a first point in time. A second identification system on the right boom and a third identification system on the left boom receive the radio signal. An identification system calculates actual distances between the first and second identification systems and the first and third identification systems based on the wavelength of the radio signal and the differences of the first and second points in time and the first and third points in time. Information regarding the actual distances is transmitted to the sprayer boom controller which compares the calculated distances with the predetermined positioning data and stops folding and/or unfolding in response to determining they exceed or underrun a tolerance value.
Agricultural vehicle having an application boom with improved bonding material
An agricultural vehicle includes a chassis, wheels supporting the chassis for moving the vehicle, an application system supported by the chassis and including a product tank storing a volume of agricultural product for delivery onto an agricultural field, and an application boom configured to deliver the agricultural product to the agricultural field. The application boom includes a boom arm segment having a longitudinal tube, an elongated structure coupled to the longitudinal tube, and an elastomeric bonding material affixing the longitudinal tube and the elongated structure.
AGRICULTURE DEVICE FOR DISPENSING A LIQUID
An agricultural device and a method for dispensing a liquid product over a surface. The device includes at least one boom and a plurality of nozzles positioned along the boom, a pressure regulation unit including a nozzle controller configured for controlling the opening and closing of one or more associated nozzles, and an inclination detection means for determining an inclination of the longitudinal supply line with respect to a horizontal. The pressure regulation unit and/or the at least one nozzle controller is configured to calculate nozzle operation data for each associated nozzle involving inclination data transmitted by the inclination detection means and the position of the nozzle on the longitudinal supply line, and the nozzle controller is configured to operate the nozzles based on the calculated nozzle operation data to obtain a homogeneous spraying of the liquid product over a surface of a field to be sprayed.
CROP SPRAYING VEHICLE
A self-leveling crop spraying apparatus is carried by a prime mover, The crop spraying apparatus includes first and second masts, and first and second opposed pendulum arm frame members slidingly engaged to the fast and second masts. A pendulum arm extends through the first and second opposed pendulum arm frame members. The first and second pendulum assemblies are coupled to opposed ends of the pendulum arm, and a carriage assembly is carried by the first and second pendulum assemblies. The carriage assembly is rotatable relative to the first and second masts and first and second opposed pendulum arm frame members.
FIBER COMPOSITE TRUSS PANEL SPRAY BOOM
A boom segment is provided for a spray boom assembly configured to carry a spray system of a work vehicle. The boom segment includes a truss panel formed as a unitary structure composed of fiber composite material and configured to support components of the spray system. The truss panel includes a panel wall extending along a length of the truss panel and defining an upper beam, a lower beam, and an array of braces spaced apart and extending diagonally and seamlessly between the upper beam and the lower beam to define a series of truss openings therebetween and a plurality of rigidifying ribs formed integrally with and projecting at an angle from the panel wall.
Mobile Liquid Dispersion System and Methods of Use Thereof
The present disclosure includes a mobile liquid dispensing system adaptable to be implemented on an arm-bed truck. The disclosure includes an apparatus comprising a spray rig capable of engaging arms of an arm-bed truck, and a carrier operable to be hoisted by an arm-bed truck. A method of mobile liquid dispersion is also presented that be performed from an arm-bed truck. The disclosure offers many advantages in the art, including novel uses of an arm-bed truck and a spray rig that is resistant to damage from impacts.
Articulated nozzle-holder boom arm for agricultural sprayer
An articulated nozzle-holder boom arm for agricultural sprayer which is extensible to the sides of a main chassis and which can be folded to a transportation position by means of an intermediate hinge generally placed in an intermediate point of the boom arm, and the several sections of the beam forming the boom arm can be engaged or disengaged easily and without welding in the hinge or several supports of the beam sections, being the beam sections generally extruded aluminum profiles and the union of the profiles ends obtained engaging the same in retaining flanges included in the supports and hinges of connection of the sections.
VISION SYSTEM
A system having a boom; a plurality of cameras attached to the boom; and a plurality of lenses on each camera; wherein not all lenses have a same field of view.
Agricultural vehicle having a brake pedal interface for controlling an application boom
According to an aspect of the invention, the brake pedal of an agricultural vehicle can be used as an interface to control auto fold/unfold sequences on a sprayer. This can allow functionality to be moved from a button, such as on the armrest, to the brake pedal using a controller, sensing and software. In one aspect, a button on the armrest can start the sequence, as long as the brake pedal is depressed. After the button is pressed, the operator can remove his hand from the button, but maintain the brake pedal depressed. If the operator lifts his foot off of the pedal, or initiates a different boom control button press, the sequence can stop. This can advantageously allow the operator to have the use of his hands during the sequence.
