Axle assembly and shift mechanism for a shift collar
An adjuster mechanism and an axle assembly that includes an adjuster mechanism. The adjuster mechanism may include a collar assembly that has a collar that may receive a shift collar, a follower, and an adjustment screw. Rotating the adjustment screw may move the collar assembly and the shift collar along an axis.
AXLE ASSEMBLY HAVING A SHIFT COLLAR
An axle assembly having a drive pinion, a transmission, and a shift collar. The transmission may include a set of drive pinion gears. The shift collar may be rotatable about an axis with the drive pinion and may be moveable along the axis with respect to the drive pinion to selectively connect a member of the set of drive pinion gears to the drive pinion.
Complex ramp in vehicle shift drum
A shift drum has a recess which controls a fork to move one of two cooperating coaxially arranged gears for transmitting torque in a power train of a vehicle. The recess includes a straight section, which upon rotation of the shift drum does not move the fork either to the left or the right, and at least one ramp which does move the fork in one direction (i.e., to the left or the right). The ramp is more complex than a single line, such as having a first portion at a first right-shift portion ramp angle β and a second portion at a second right-shift portion ramp angle γ, perhaps with the intersection between the first right-shift portion ramp angle β and the second right-shift portion ramp angle γ being at the mid-line defined by the straight section of the recess.
Gear shifting apparatus for multi-speed transmission for electric vehicles
A gear shifting apparatus for a multi-speed transmission for an electric vehicle includes a shifting unit controlling gear shifting by a torque of an actuator, and a parking unit controlling a parking state by the torque of the actuator. In particular, the actuator includes a control motor transmitting a driving torque to a first driven gear and a second driven gear through a drive gear externally gear-meshed with the driven gears, and the shifting unit includes: a shift fork slidably mounted on a fork rail and activating the gear shifting; a profile drum connected to the first driven gear externally engaged with the drive gear, and having a profile groove formed along an exterior circumference of the profile drum; and a shift lug integrally formed with the shift fork and coupled with the profile groove.
SHIFT DEVICE FOR OUTBOARD MOTOR
A shift device for an outboard motor includes a forward gear and a reverse gear; a clutch gear; a shift actuator configured to move between a neutral reference position where the clutch gear is disengaged from the forward gear and the reverse gear and an engagement reference position where the clutch gear is engaged with the forward gear or the reverse gear; and a control device configured to control a movement of the shift actuator. The control device is configured to set an intermediate target position, and to set a speed at which the shift actuator moves from the intermediate target position to the engagement reference position slower than a speed at which the shift actuator moves from the neutral reference position to the intermediate target position.
Electro-mechanical transmission shifter
An electro-mechanical transmission shifter preferably includes a first actuator, a second actuator, a shift linkage device, actuator mounting bracket, a programmable controller and a gear shift remote. The shift linkage device includes a mounting base plate, a first transmission shifting bracket, a second transmission shifting bracket and a linkage rod. The linkage rod couples the first and second transmission shifting brackets. The actuation rods of the first and second actuators are pivotally connected to the first and second transmission shifting brackets, respectively. A mounting end of the first and second actuators are retained on the actuator mounting bracket with first and second clevis blocks. The programmable controller receives a signal from a gear selector remote to change a gear in a transmission. The programmable controller also monitors the electrical current sent to the first and second actuators.
Axle assembly having a shift collar
An axle assembly having a collar that receives a shift collar that is moveable along an axis. An alignment rod may be provided to inhibit rotation of the collar about the axis. A linkage retaining device may be provided that is selectively engageable with a linkage that is operatively connected to the shift collar to inhibit rotation of the linkage.
Shift control arrangement in a gearbox
Provided is a shift control arrangement in a gearbox, comprising a first shift rod with a first end part connectable to a first power means and second end part connected to a first shift fork; a second shift rod with first end part connectable to a second power means and second end part connected to a second shift fork; a first set of grooves in the first shift rod, a second groove in the second shift rod; and a lock pin between the first and second shift rods, which lock pin, with the first set of grooves and the second groove restrict and/or allow axial movement of the respective first and second shift rods. The first end part of the first shift rod is provided with an axial directed cut out for non-conflicting with the lock pin, and the first end part of the second shift rod is provided with a control surface for axial movement of the lock pin.
The ramp is more complex than a single line, such as having a first portion at a first right-shift portion ramp angle and a second portion at a second right-shift portion ramp angle , perhaps with the intersection between the first right-shift portion ramp angle and the second right-shift portion ramp angle being at the mid-line defined by the straight section of the recess.
