Manual release for medical device drive system
A medical device drive system can include a rotational input, a coupling member engaged with the rotational input, a first gear having an engagement feature sized and shaped to engage with the coupling member, and a second gear coupled with the first gear, the second gear coupled to a movable element. The system can have a first system state and a second system state. In the first system state the coupling member is not engaged with the engagement feature and the first gear rotates without moving the coupling member. In the second system state the coupling member is engaged with the engagement feature of the first gear and rotation of the rotational input turns the coupling member, the first gear, and the second gear to move the movable element.

Shift device
A shift device is provided. The shift device comprises a first member axially movably supported on a shaft, a second member axially movably supported on the shaft, and an elastic member arranged on the shaft and elastically compressible in the axial direction of the shaft. The second member is engaged with the first member such that an axial movement of the first member is transmitted to the second member and vice versa via the elastic member.
Vehicle transmission shift shaft bushing assembly
A method for assembling a vehicle transmission shift shaft assembly with a shift shaft having a first diameter, a shift lever fixedly mounted to an end thereof, and a step defining a second diameter smaller than the first diameter along a length thereof. The method includes positioning a seal on the shift shaft to abut the shift lever, and positioning a spacer on the shift shaft to abut the seal. The method further includes positioning a bushing over the spacer, and positioning a retainer clip on the shift shaft adjacent to the step so as to retain the bushing over the spacer.
Transmission, a ring gear thereof, and a method of operating the same
A ring gear for a planetary gearset and a transmission having the same. The planetary gearset receives an input via a sun shaft to supply an output via a carrier in response to arresting of rotation of the ring gear around an axis. The ring gear includes a plurality of tooth surfaces and opposing tooth surfaces that are distributed around the axis. A pawl, while engaged with the tooth surfaces, is permitted to ratchet on the ring gear in a first angular direction and arrests rotation of the ring gear in a second angular direction opposite to the first angular direction. An opposing pawl, while engaged with the opposing tooth surfaces, is permitted to ratchet on the ring gear in the second angular direction and arrests rotation of the ring gear in the first angular direction. A gear ratio is selected by selectively actuating the pawls and the opposing pawls.
