Alternatively, the locking tongue rotates on a pin on a distal end and the anchoring structure urges a proximal portion toward the gear to lock.

The method includes detecting an absolute rotation angle position of the parking interlock gear (11) and comparing the detected absolute rotation angle position with a reference rotation angle position. When the particular absolute rotation angle position is situated behind the reference rotation angle position as viewed in the particular direction of rotation of the parking interlock gear (11), a rattling process of the parking pawl (12) is detected.
