Pre-assembled pipe coupling with manually manipulatable segments
A pre-assembled pipe coupling (11) includes a gasket (200), a housing (12) surrounding the gasket, and a fastener (20). The housing has three segments sequentially coupled to each other to define an insertion boundary. A first segment (12c) includes a first mount (18) extending lateral in a first direction from the wall and having a plurality of first lateral walls that define a first aperture (22), and a second mount (18) extending laterally in a second direction from the wall, the second mount having a plurality of second lateral walls that define a second aperture (22). A second segment (12a) includes a first hook (14) disposed in the first aperture and a first tab (16) defining a first fastener aperture. A third segment (12b) includes a second hook (14) disposed in the second aperture and a second tab (16) defining a second fastener aperture. The fastener is disposed through the first fastener aperture and the second fastener aperture.
CABLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND WORKSTATION SYSTEM
A cable management system for a worktop has a cable support and at least one support mechanism comprising a base body, a first lever and a second lever. The base body is elongated between first and second ends along a major axis and includes respective pivot and fixation points for the first and second levers. The first lever is at a proximal end pivotally supported in the first pivot point, comprises at least a first retaining portion for receiving the cable support, and is fixable at the first fixation point. The second lever is at a proximal end pivotally supportable in the second pivot point, comprises at least one second retaining portion for receiving the cable support, and is fixable at the second fixation point.
Insulating inserts for field joints of coated rigid pipelines
An insulating insert is positioned around a field joint of a pipeline to insulate the field joint. The insert comprises a longitudinal series of annular or part-annular filler segments of insulating material, curved about a longitudinal axis, that are each joined to one or more adjacent segments of the series by at least one link. The links may be webs, rods or articulated links. The links are flexible relative to the segments to facilitate bending of the insert along its length by enabling relative angular displacement between adjacent segments of the series.
CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A cable retaining apparatus includes a body defining at least one aperture for receiving a respective cable, a first insulator device arranged in the, or each, aperture for preventing electrical conduction from a cable to a surface of the body facing the cable, and a second insulator device for preventing electrical conduction from a cable to a surface of the body facing away from the cable.
CLAMPING PIPELINES
A method of fixing a clamp around a pipe comprises supporting the pipe between curved clamp parts, namely a cradle and shells, that are assembled in mutual opposition about the pipe while fabricating the clamp. By placing the pipe into the cradle and then bringing the shells into contact with the pipe, those opposed clamp parts are simultaneously in contact with the pipe. Initially, a gap is maintained at an interface between the clamp parts. A full penetration weld is then formed in the gap. As the weld cools and shrinks, the clamp parts are drawn together, to a mutual spacing narrower than the original gap, to compress the pipe between them. The clamp is suitable for attaching the pipe to a structure such as the frame of a subsea pipeline accessory, for example a valve in fluid communication with the pipe.
Pre-assembled pipe coupling with manually manipulatable segments
A pre-assembled pipe coupling includes a gasket, a housing surrounding the gasket, and a fastener. The housing has three segments sequentially coupled to each other to define an insertion boundary. A first segment includes a first mount extending lateral in a first direction from the wall and having a plurality of first lateral walls that define a first aperture, and a second mount extending laterally in a second direction from the wall, the second mount having a plurality of second lateral walls that define a second aperture. A second segment includes a first hook disposed in the first aperture and a first tab defining a first fastener aperture. A third segment includes a second hook disposed in the second aperture and a second tab defining a second fastener aperture. The fastener is disposed through the first fastener aperture and the second fastener aperture.
Pipe couplings
A coupling segment includes a coupling body, the coupling body defining a first end and an opposite second end, the coupling body further defining a first axial end and an opposite second axial end; a leg extending from the first end, the leg defining a proximal end proximate the first end and a distal end distal from the first end, the leg angling from the first axial end to the second axial end, the distal end defining a bearing member, the bearing member defining a planar bearing surface; and a fastener pad extending from the second end.
Gripper unit for gripping and handling cable ends of two cables, loading station with the gripper unit and method for the provisioning of plug housings
A double gripper for gripping and handling cable ends of two cables of a twisted cable harness in a fitting station for provisioning plug housings includes two gripper jaws each with an upper member arranged above a lower jaw member. The double gripper further includes two engagement members arranged between the upper and lower jaw members with which the cables are supported. The engagement members can be moved independently from the gripper jaws. A distance between the cables can be varied by moving the engagement members between the cables transverse to longitudinal axes of the cables. Each of the engagement members is formed as a wedge with at least one effective wedge surface.
Pipe couplings
A pipe coupling includes a coupling segment having an inner surface defining a ring groove proximate to an axial end of the coupling segment, the ring groove comprising a groove bottom surface extending from a first end of the coupling segment to a second end of the coupling segment; and a pipe connection ring disposed within the ring groove, the pipe connection ring defining a body with two ring ends and an outer surface, the outer surface of the pipe connection ring contacting the groove bottom surface at a midpoint between the first end of the coupling segment and the second end of the coupling segment when the pipe connection ring is in an uncompressed condition. The pipe connection ring may be a split ring defining an opening between the two ring ends, which may be square, tapered, angled, or stepped.

The fastener is disposed through the first fastener aperture and the second fastener aperture. The fastener has an adjusted length at which the first clamp segment grips the gasket, and the second clamp segment grips the gasket to locate the first sealing lip and the second sealing lip within the insertion boundary.
