SHRINK-FIT COLLAR
A shrink-fit ring, the two circumferential edges (10) of which are flanged, makes it possible to use thinner band thicknesses without the risk of buckling owing to its greater intrinsic strength. The circumferential edges (10) end in limbs (16) which point radially outwards and enclose an angle of approx. 70° to 90° with an unflanged centre portion (13) of the ring that is located axially further inwards. The flanging results in an extension of the diameter of the ring edges, wherein the ring edge regions (14) are bent outwards in a rounded manner and the edge surfaces (11) run at an angle of preferably approx. 0° to approx. 20° with respect to the ring axis (12).
Multipurpose Hose Clamp
The present invention relates to a multipurpose hose clamp. The hose clamp is capable of rotating laterally in a 360-degree orientation in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The multipurpose clamp includes a round, flat, thin, single-gear band, and a clamping device. The clamping device or screw cage is separable from the band. A screw is configured to twist or turn into the clamping device and engages the slots disposed on the band to increase or decrease a diameter of the hose clamp. The multipurpose clamp can be applied to any type of hose, for example, water hoses, automobile hoses, radiator hoses, air vent hoses, etc. The screw cage is designed to rotate 360-degrees in either clockwise or counterclockwise directions.
INJECTION MOLDED COLD-EXPANSION COMPRESSION COLLAR
A compression collar is manufactured for use in reinforcing an interference fit between an end of a pipe and a fitting. A precursor form is injection molded using a cold-expansion material. The precursor form has a tubular body with an initially closed axial end and a bore that is initially blind formed in the other axial end. Material is removed from the initially closed axial end of the tubular body of the precursor form to form an opening in the initially closed axial end that connects to the bore thereby forming the compression collar. The opening has an inner periphery with a profile in axial cross section that is different than any profile in axial cross section of an inner periphery of the bore. The collar formed may lack knitlines and may include tabs formed during the removal step which help to position the collar on a pipe.
A HOSE CLAMP
A hose clamp developed for hose structures used in many fields particularly in the automotive sector. The hose clamp includes a clamp band which surrounds the hose, a clamp housing which engages both ends of said clamp band, at least one positioner clip which limits radial and axial motion of the hose clamp on the hose, a wing with springy feature which is located on the positioner clip and allows diameter reduction of the hose clamp, a structure which couples the positioner clip to the hose by a plurality of serrations and does damage the hose.
Hose fitting and hose assembly for marine vehicles
A hose fitting is provided to fluidly couple a hose to a component of a boat engine. The hose fitting includes a lead in portion having a substantially smooth exterior surface, a barbed portion with multiple barbs configured to sealingly engage with an inner liner of the hose, a grip portion with multiple substantially flat grip faces; and a terminating portion configured to couple to the component of the boat engine. The lead in portion, the barbed portion, the grip portion, and the terminating portion collectively define a central flow passage extending through the hose fitting.
TUBING JUNCTION ASSEMBLY
A tubing junction assembly may include a body, and a collar coupled to the body. The body may include a head portion, a base portion, and an intermediate portion. At least a portion of an outer surface of the body at the intermediate portion may define a cross-sectional width that tapers from the head portion to the base portion. The collar may have an inner surface defining a passage. A tubing may be stretched over the outer surface of the body with a proximal end portion of the tubing stretched over at least a portion of the outer surface of the body at the intermediate portion. The inner surface of the collar may be sleeved over a portion of the outer surface of the tubing and coupled to the collar such that the proximal end portion of the tubing is sandwiched and compressed between the body and the collar.
TUBING RETENTION DEVICE
Tubing retention systems are described herein. A tubing retention system includes a spigot, a tubing, and a collar. The spigot includes a spigot body and a spigot extension extending from the spigot body, wherein the spigot extension comprises a flared portion opposite to the spigot body and the spigot body and the spigot extension cooperatively define a spigot lumen. The tubing includes an outer surface and a tubing lumen, wherein a coupling portion of the tubing is disposed around the spigot extension, permitting fluid communication between the tubing lumen and the spigot lumen. The collar is disposed radially around the outer surface of the tubing and axially between the flared portion and the spigot body, wherein the collar radially engages the coupling portion of the tubing disposed around the spigot extension to axially and radially retain the tubing with the spigot.
Hose Structure with Reinforced Pressure Sleeve
Disclosed is a reinforced hose comprising a pressure sleeve concentrically installed over an outer surface of the hose tubing, either above or below the ferrule. An inner diameter of the pressure sleeve is larger than an outer diameter of the hose tubing and the first terminal end of the pressure sleeve is longitudinally aligned with the first open end of the hose tubing. The longitudinal length of the pressure sleeve is greater than that of the ferrule and extends beyond a proximal end of the ferrule. A first interference joint couples the outer surface of the hose tubing to an inner surface of the pressure sleeve, the first interference joint comprising a contact patch located between the second terminal end of the pressure sleeve and the proximal end of the ferrule.
Plastics pipeline with a support sleeve
The invention relates to a plastics pipeline comprising at least one pipeline end (1) and at least one support ring (2). It was the underlying object of the invention to improve a plastics pipeline of the type described at the outset in such a way that the support sleeve or the support ring (2) remains firmly connected to the pipeline even in the event of the plastics pipeline being stored in the presence of high air humidity and temperature. This object is achieved by virtue of the fact that the blow molded pipe section (1) runs through the support ring (2) and, as viewed radially, is pressed from the inside outward against the support ring (2), wherein the pipe section (1) engages around the support ring (2), such that the support ring (2), with its outer surface, and the pipe section (1), with its outer surface, are substantially in alignment.
ADAPTER FOR CARBONIC GAS TUBES
Adapter for carbon dioxide tubes including a tube provided with an inner channel with hollow ends, having an end that has an annular shoulder with a flexible surface provided with outer ribs that fits into the connection area of a hose, which is, in turn, associated with the carbon dioxide tube, by overlapping and deformation, and the outer ribs of the tube fit into the ribs arranged in the inner channel of the annular shaped sleeve.
