Clamp and spike for flexible conduit
A clamp and spike combination for use in conjunction with a flexible conduit, comprising a spike including an inlet rod with a sharpened tip for penetration into the conduit, an outlet rod connected to the inlet rod, the outlet rod having a barbed tip for attachment to a tube. The bore extends through the rods from the sharpened tip to the barbed tip, whereby the spike provides a channel for the passage of fluid. Further included, a clamp including two legs extending substantially parallel with each other and spaced apart from each other by a distance, an apex portion connecting the two legs to each other so that the clamp is shaped substantially in the form of an inverted U; and an opening in the apex portion, the opening being sized to receive the inlet rod of the spike.
HEATING ELEMENT GEOMETRY FOR USE IN A TAPPING SADDLE
A tapping saddle for a plastic main pipe carrying a medium includes a stub having a central axis, a saddle piece, and a drill. The drill is configured to be moved axially in the stub. A heating element geometry, which is used for welding the tapping saddle to a main tube outer circumference, is arranged on an inside diameter of the saddle piece. The heating element geometry has a winding having an outer winding region and an inner winding region. In the inner winding region, the winding extends in meandering loops along a circle concentric with the central axis of the stub.
A CUTTING TOOL AND A BRANCH CONNECTION DEVICE COMPRISING A CUTTING TOOL
A cutting tool for cutting a hole into a fluid transportation pipe and for retaining a cutting chip is provided. The tool (1) comprises a main body (2) having an end which is prolonged by a tapered part (3), the tool (1) further comprising an accommodation space (11), the tool being configured to receive a cutting chip in the accommodation space (11) via an opening (10) which extends at least from a geometrical apex (5) of the tapered part (3) to the periphery of the main body (61), and the tool (1) further has a cutting edge (4) extending at least from the geometrical apex (5) of the tapered part (3) to the periphery of the main body (2) of the cutting tool (1). The main body (2) is made of a material that differs from a material of which the cutting edge (4) is made.
IRRIGATION SADDLE, ADAPTER, AND CAP
What are disclosed are embodiments of a saddle, cap, and adapter for use in an irrigation system. In a preferred embodiment, the disclosed inventive concepts utilize a dynamic seal that provides an improvement over prior known technology. In a preferred embodiment the adapter and cap are made to be removable so as to be easily changed or replaced.
PIPE TAPPING SADDLE
A pipe tapping saddle for a main pipe having a center axis and conveying a medium. The pipe tapping saddle includes a saddle piece; a branch pipe having a center axis, a drill socket having a center axis, and a drill with a thread being arranged displaceably in the drill socket for tapping the main pipe. The pipe tapping saddle is arranged on the main pipe. A center axis of the branch pipe runs horizontally and is arranged below an upper crown point of the main pipe.
Tapping fitting
The invention relates to a tapping fitting, having a saddle component for positioning on and cohesively connecting to a tubular component, and having a clamping device for clamping the saddle component on the tubular component, characterized in that the clamping device has a tiltable clamping lever with a sliding profile, wherein the clamping lever is mounted via the sliding profile in a bearing shell in a first peripheral portion of the saddle component, and wherein a clamping band is attached on one side to the clamping lever at a distance from a rotation axis about which the clamping lever is tiltable in the bearing shell, and on the other side to a second peripheral portion, located opposite the first peripheral portion, of the saddle component, such that in the case of a tapping fitting positioned on a tubular component, when the clamping lever is tilted, the clamping band is biased and the tapping fitting is pressed against the tubular component.
Boring device
A pipe boring device (1) including a housing (2)for receiving a self-tapping ferrule insert and a strap (3, 4) for securement around a pipe (10) to enable a hole to be bored into the pipe(10) by the ferrule insert. The strap (3, 4) includes first and second strap portions(3, 4) pivotally secured at a first of their ends (30, 40) by a connector (5). The first strap portion (3) includes a pair of slots (35a, 35b) along its length, which terminate at a second end (34) of the first strap portion (3) to form slot ends (36a, 36b). The second strap portion (4) includes three pairs of hooks (45a, 45b, 46a, 46b, 47a, 47b) along its length, which are receivable within the slots (35a, 35b) and configured to engage the slot ends (36a, 36b). The strap (3, 4) is configured to be wrapped around a pipe (10) with the first strap portion (3) overlapping the second strap portion (4) such that the second strap portion (4) is between the first strap portion (3) and the pipe (10) and one of the hook pairs (45a and 45b, 46a and 46b, 47a and 47b) is in engagement with the slot ends (36a, 36b). Each hook pair (45a and 45b, 46a and 46b, 47a and 47b) is spaced one from the next along the length of the second strap portion (4) such that the strap (3, 4) defines an opening for receiving the pipe (10) that is dependent upon which of the hook pairs (45a and 45b, 46a and 46b, 47a and 47b) is in engagement with the slot ends (36a, 36b).
Irrigation Saddle Annular Seal Face
A pipe coupler having a saddle for connecting to a riser adapter for use in an irrigation system to distribute water. A dynamic seal is positioned in a circumferential channel of the riser adapter on the outer surface of a flange or projection that is positioned into the circular mount of the saddle.
