FLEX PLATE MOUNT FOR HIGH PRESSURE TANK
20210381652 · 2021-12-09 · ·

The present disclosure provides mounting plates having a mounting portion adjacent to a plurality of fastening regions and a flexing portion adjacent to a mounting feature. The fastening regions can be connected to a frame system. The mounting feature can be connected to an end of a pressurized tank. The end of the pressurized tank can move relative to the frame system and the mounting plate can flex such that the flexing portion moves out of the plane of the fastening region to accommodate the motion of the end of the pressurized tank. Connection to the end of the pressurized tank can be provided at a tank collar than can be bonded or threadably connected to the mounting plate via a connection mechanism. The connection mechanism can be an expandable plug or a sleeve that connects to the tank collar.

FUEL STORAGE MODULE ASSEMBLY
20220205590 · 2022-06-30 ·

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for producing a hydrogen storage vessel that is lightweight. The hydrogen storage vessel may comprise an inner body and an outer body structured as concentric rings with a conic interface. The vessel may have four material layers, including a barrier layer, an insulation layer, a fiber knit, and an abrasion layer. The fiber knit may be braided to trap the hydrogen, as the barrier layer may not be completely impermeable. Additionally, the fiber braid may be clamped to the outer body, enabling pressure pushing on the inner body to wedge and seal the storage vessel.

Pressurized vessel heat shield and thermal pressure relief system

A pressure relief system comprises a pressurized vessel containing a fuel source and comprising a thermal pressure relief device, a heat shield coating disposed on an outer surface of the pressurized vessel, a sensor in thermal communication with the heat shield and configured to receive thermal energy from the heat shield, and an electronic control module electrically coupled to the sensor and the thermal pressure relief device. The sensor, responsive to receiving a threshold amount of thermal energy from the heat shield coating, may transmit a signal to the electronic control module. The electronic control module may activate the thermal pressure relief device in response to the signal.

APPARATUS FOR FIXING PRESSURE VESSEL
20220194218 · 2022-06-23 · ·

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for fixing a pressure vessel, the apparatus including: a frame part disposed separably from a subject and configured to support a pressure vessel; and a lifting device configured to selectively raise or lower the frame part relative to the subject, thereby facilitating a process of replacing the pressure vessel.

APPARATUS FOR GAS STORAGE AND TRANSPORT
20220185432 · 2022-06-16 ·

A gas transport vessel having a hull and a tank longitudinally received in the hull and method of constructing the tank within the hull. The vessel is designed to transport fluids, such as hydrogen or other gases and liquids. The tank has a plurality of layers that are unconnected to adjacent layers. The tank contacts the vessel at a top and bottom. The top connection, for example a connection to deck structure, supports the tank for preventing sagging. The tank may be substantially the length of the ship and located between a forward and a rearward bulkhead. Two tanks may placed adjacent one another separated by a longitudinal bulkhead. Each layer has a forward and rearward end cap constructed of multiple frusto-conical sections. A space is provided on sides of the tank to permit expansion. The tank is integral with ship structure, thereby providing additional strength to the vessel.

Disclosed is system for automatically replacing a high-pressure gas tank, including: a high-pressure gas tank lift installed in a cabinet which is able to be elevated and including a die to load a high-pressure gas tank thereon; a high-pressure gas tank clamp clamping the high-pressure gas tank loaded on the die of the high-pressure gas tank lift to align the position of the high-pressure gas tank; a high-pressure gas tank connection unit removing an end cap from the high-pressure gas tank elevated by the high-pressure gas tank lift to automatically connect a connector holder to a gas injection nozzle and control the flow of gas; and control unit installed in the cabinet to control operation of the high-pressure gas tank connection unit, the high-pressure gas tank lift, and the high-pressure gas tank clamp.

AIRCRAFT COMPRISING HYDROGEN STORAGE TANKS
20230249840 · 2023-08-10 · ·

An aircraft comprises a hydrogen-fuelled propulsion system, a plurality of like generally cylindrical hydrogen storage tanks and a conveying system arranged to convey hydrogen from the hydrogen storage tanks to the hydrogen-fuelled propulsion system. The aircraft further comprises a fuselage having a cargo bay (502) including one or more (510A-G) of the plurality of hydrogen storage tanks, the longitudinal axes (511A-G) of the one or more hydrogen storage tanks within the cargo bay extending parallel to the longitudinal axis (501) of the fuselage and lying in one or more planes (595, 597) extending across the width dimension of the cargo bay. The hydrogen storage tanks within the cargo bay have a common aspect ratio R in the range 4.2≤R≤25.7, allowing the volume of space with the cargo bay occupied by stored hydrogen to be maximised or approximately maximised.

Mobile fuel distribution station

A fuel distribution station for land vehicles includes a first fuel tank assembly for releasably holding fuel and a second fuel tank assembly for releasably holding fuel. A control system selectively permits and monitors a discharge of fuel from both of the first and second fuel tank assemblies. An operation platform is elevated a predetermined distance above ground by support legs and is formed by rigidly connecting the first fuel tank assembly to the second fuel tank assembly.
