FILLING STATION FOR GAS BOTTLES AND FILLING METHOD
The filling station according to the invention enables an automated refilling of a gas bottle by an end-user. This comprises an insertion device, which enables an end-user to insert an emptied gas bottle into the filling station. The filling station comprises a closing device for closing the filling station after the insertion of the gas bottle such that a removal of the gas bottle subsequent to the closing is not possible. The end-user may not remove the gas bottle in a closed state. Furthermore, the filling station comprises a filling device for an automated filling of an into the filling station inserted emptied gas bottle subsequent to the closing. A filling may thus only take place, if the filling station is closed and in consequence the gas bottle cannot be removed. There is a gas testing device for an automated gas leakage test after a refilling of an inserted gas bottle. With it, the tightness of a once again filled gas bottle is tested. There is a release device that releases an afore filled or full gas bottle only after a successful gas leakage test and thus enables a removal of a once again filled gas bottle. A removal of a gas bottled filled with gas respectively liquid gas is thus only possible, if the gas leakage test revealed that no gas escapes from the filled bottle. The invention further concerns a method for refilling.
FUEL STORAGE SYSTEM
A fuel storage system is provided for storing dimethylether (DME), a blend including DME, or other similar highly volatile fuel at a vehicle. The fuel storage system including a main storage tank, an expansion tank, a fuel filling receptacle configured to receive a fuel filling nozzle of a filling station, and a valve arrangement having at least a normal operating setting and a fuel filling setting. The valve arrangement in the normal operating setting provides a fuel passage between the main storage tank and the expansion tank, and the valve arrangement in the fuel filling setting both provides a fuel passage between the fuel filling receptacle and the main storage tank and prevents fuel flow between the main storage tank and the expansion tank. The fuel storage system is configured to mechanically prevent disconnection of the fuel filling nozzle from the fuel filling receptacle unless the valve arrangement is in the normal operating setting. A corresponding method, as well as a further example embodiment of the fuel storage system, are also provided.
Handle for portable gas cylinder with two click locking assembly
A handle assembly for a portable gas cylinder includes a first handle portion, a second handle portion and first and second locking members. The first handle portion includes an ergonomically configured upstanding gripping handle and a semi-circular shroud portion configured to couple to a first section of an upper portion of a portable gas cylinder. The second handle portion includes an ergonomically configured upstanding gripping handle and a semi-circular shroud portion configured to couple to a second section of the upper portion of the portable gas cylinder. First and second locking members are configured to selectively locking the first and second handle portions to one another about a periphery of the upper portion of the portable gas cylinder.
Gas cylinder interlock device and method of use
The present invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for a safety interlock for a gas cylinder. The interlock device of the present invention can prevent a gas cylinder from being removed from a gas administration device as long as gas remains in the gas cylinder.
High-pressure tank
Provided is a high-pressure tank that includes a tank main body including a mouthpiece, a valve fitted to the mouthpiece, and a pipe extending from the valve in an axially inward direction of the tank main body and for ejecting a gas into the tank main body. The pipe includes an ejection nozzle provided at an end of the pipe and for ejecting the gas, a first bent portion located between the ejection nozzle and the valve and extending in a direction inclined relative to an axial direction of the tank main body, and a second bent portion having the ejection nozzle and extending in a direction inclined relative to the axial direction. One of an inclination angle of the first bent portion relative to the axial direction and an inclination angle of the second bent portion relative to the axial direction is larger than 0° and not larger than 90°, and the other is not smaller than −0° and smaller than 0°, when the pipe is viewed in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction.

A manufacturing method for manufacturing a tank includes: a step of forming a structural body constituted by a liner and a fiber reinforced resin layer placed on the outer periphery of the liner, the structural body including a cylindrical portion and dome portions provided in opposite ends of the cylindrical portion in the axial direction of the cylindrical portion; a step of winding a heat insulating sheet around the fiber reinforced resin layer after the step of forming the structural body, the heat insulating sheet having notches in dome forming portions provided to correspond to the dome portions; and a step of covering the dome portions with the dome forming portions.
COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSEL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING
A composite pressure vessel assembly includes a plurality of lobes, each of the lobes having at least one interior wall and at least one curved wall, the plurality of lobes being positioned in a side by side arrangement and extending in a longitudinal direction from a first end to a second end. Also included is a plurality of end caps disposed at the ends of the lobes, wherein the plurality of lobes and end caps are formed of at least one fiber-reinforced polymer. A method of manufacturing a composite pressure vessel assembly is provided. The method includes forming a plurality of lobes consisting of at least one fiber-reinforced polymer. The method also includes forming a main body with the plurality of lobes, the lobes disposed in a side by side arrangement.

Method of cooling boil off gas and an apparatus therefor
The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for cooling, preferably liquefying a boil off gas (BOG) stream from a liquefied cargo in a floating transportation vessel, said liquefied cargo having a boiling point of greater than −110° C. at 1 atmosphere and comprising a plurality of components, said method comprising at least the steps of: compressing a boil off gas stream (01) from said liquefied cargo in two or more stages of compression comprising at least a first stage (65) and a final stage (75) to provide a compressed BOG discharge stream (06), wherein said first stage (65) of compression has a first stage discharge pressure and said final stage (75) of compression has a final stage suction pressure and one or more intermediate, optionally cooled, compressed BOG streams (02, 03, 04) are provided between consecutive stages of compression; cooling the compressed BOG discharge stream (06) to provide a cooled vent stream (51) and a cooled compressed BOG stream (08); expanding, optionally after further cooling, a portion of the cooled compressed BOG stream (08) to a pressure between that of the first stage discharge pressure and the final stage suction pressure to provide an expanded cooled BOG stream (33); heat exchanging the expanded cooled BOG stream (33) against the cooled vent stream (51) to provide a further cooled vent stream (53).
