COMPOSITE PRESSURE VESSELS
A method for performing pressure tests on a composite pressure vessel, including providing a composite pressure vessel with at least one opening an injection of a liquid; injecting the liquid in the composite pressure vessel through the at least one opening to reach a threshold pressure; measuring an external volume variation of the composite pressure vessel; draining the liquid from the composite pressure vessel through the at least one opening; and drying an inside cavity of the composite pressure vessel with a drying gas. The drying the inside cavity of the composite pressure vessel is performed at a pressure inside the composite pressure vessel, which is lower than an external pressure. A device for manufacturing and pressure testing a composite pressure vessel.
GAS TREATMENT SYSTEM AND SHIP INCLUDING SAME
The present invention relates to a gas treatment system and a ship including the same. The gas treatment system treats liquefied gas as heavier hydrocarbons or ammonia. The gas treatment system includes: a fuel tank storing liquefied gas as a fuel to be supplied to a propulsion engine of a ship; a liquefied gas supply line supplying the liquefied gas of the fuel tank in a liquid phase to the propulsion engine, the liquefied gas supply line having a high pressure pump provided thereon; a reliquefaction apparatus liquefying boil-off gas generated in a cargo tank storing liquefied gas; and a liquefied gas collection line collecting the liquid liquefied gas discharged from the propulsion engine upstream of the high pressure pump. The reliquefaction apparatus transfers the liquefied boil-off gas to the fuel tank, thereby allowing the liquefied boil-off gas to be supplied to the propulsion engine by the high pressure pump.
PIGTAIL HOSE WITH ELBOW FITTING
A pigtail hose is described for connecting a gas canister to a gas regulator. The pigtail hose includes a gas hose having an inlet end and an outlet end; and an elbow fitting connected to the inlet end of the gas hose. The elbow fitting has a bore which turns the gas supply through 90° at a convenient point of the gas supply assembly to assist with the connection of the canister in a confined storage space.
Refueling adapter for an alternative fuel vehicle and method for refueling
A refueling adapter for an alternative fuel vehicle includes a first filling port that is fluidly coupled to an inlet nozzle of a fuel tank of the alternative fuel vehicle. The first filling port is configured to fit an inlet nozzle of a first dispensing type. A second filling port fluidly coupled to a dispenser nozzle of an alternative fuel dispenser. The second filling port is configured to fit a dispenser nozzle of a second dispensing type, the second dispensing type being different from the first dispensing type. An adapter controller is configured to communicate with a vehicle fueling system of the alternative fuel vehicle and a valve providing a fluid connection between the first filling port and the second filling port and is operated by the adapter controller to selectively open and close the fluid connection.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO A METERING DEVICE
A metering device for attaching to a container configured to store a fluid, the device including: a valve configured to control the amount of fluid dispensed from the container; a user interface comprising at least one control configured to operate the valve between an open position and a closed position; and a control circuit configured to set a threshold amount of the fluid to be dispensed from the container, where the control circuit is configured to override the user interface and close the valve when the threshold amount of fluid to be dispensed has been reached.
HYDROGEN GAS FILLING DEVICE
An emergency breakaway coupling, which is a disconnect coupling, is configured such that a first coupler and a second coupler thereof are connected under normal conditions and the first coupler and the second coupler are disconnected during an emergency. A disconnect detecting device includes a detecting piece and a moving piece that are arranged in the emergency breakaway coupling. The disconnect detecting device detects the disconnect of the emergency breakaway coupling due to the movement of the moving piece from the detecting piece. The detecting piece and the moving piece are arranged in the emergency breakaway coupling such that a moving direction O2-O2 of the moving piece moving from the detecting piece is in parallel with a disconnecting direction O1-O1 of the first coupler disconnecting from the second coupler.
METHODS OF MONITORING AND CONTROLLING LIQUID NATURAL GAS (LNG) TANKS ABOARD A MARINE VESSEL
Methods of, and control systems for, operating modular, liquid natural gas (LNG) manifold apparatuses, crossover systems for such modular manifold apparatuses, and systems including one or more of the modular manifold apparatuses and a plurality of ISO tank containers. The modular manifold apparatus includes an ISO container (e.g., an open-frame ISO container) with a plurality of container connection sections or bays, a liquid system, and a vent system, where each of the liquid and vent systems includes a header and a plurality of connection lines configured to be coupled to the respective liquid and vent connections of LNG containers adjacent the modular manifold apparatus.
MODULAR LIQUID NATURAL GAS (LNG) MANIFOLD AND SYSTEMS FOR SEAFARING VESSELS
Modular, liquid natural gas (LNG) manifold apparatuses, crossover systems for such modular manifold apparatuses, and systems including one or more of the modular manifold apparatuses and a plurality of ISO tank containers.
VALVE ASSEMBLY
A valve assembly, comprising: a valve housing body extending along a longitudinal axis X between a first end and a second end and defining a cylindrical passage therethough from the first to the second end; a fluid inlet at the first end for receiving a pressurized fluid; and a fluid outlet provided in between the first and second end of the housing body; and a piston provided in said cylindrical passage, said piston being axially movable between a first position wherein said fluid outlet is blocked by said piston such that the piston blocks the flow of fluid from the inlet to the outlet, and a second position wherein said outlet is not blocked by said piston and a fluid flow path is formed from the inlet to the outlet.
Delivery system and method for the effective, reliable and foolproof delivery of controlled amounts of a medical fluid
A method for performing a medical procedure requiring effective, reliable and foolproof delivery of controlled amounts of a medical grade gas to a patient includes providing a compressed gas cylinder having a weight with medical grade gas sealed therein of at least twelve grams and not greater than fifty grams. The method also includes connecting the compressed gas cylinder to an integrated compressed gas unit including a regulator valve assembly positioned between an outlet port and an inlet port, wherein the regulator valve assembly includes a press button actuator and regulator adjustment dial. A flow control system is secured to the compressed gas unit and the medical grade gas is delivered in precisely controlled amounts by actuating the compressed gas unit and operating the flow control system to deliver the medical grade gas to vasculature of the patient.
