Explosion containment and redirection system
The present invention provides a system configured to contain and redirect any explosion caused by the combustible gas as a safety precaution. This is accomplished through a cover, a floor plate, and one or a plurality of tanks adapted to retain high pressure combustible gas. The cover and floor plate will create an extremely rigid and temperature-resistant enclosure, while the tanks are positioned inside said enclosure. These components work in conjunction to provide a lightweight and compact system configured to contain an explosion, and alternatively, to redirect the explosion and resultant shrapnel downward and through the floor plate if the explosion cannot be contained.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE FILLING LEVELS OF TANKS
A method for managing the filling levels of a plurality of tanks arranged in a ship, said tanks being connected in such a way as to allow liquid to be transferred between said tanks, the method comprising providing an initial state (7) of the tanks, determining a target state (8) defining respective final filling levels of said tanks, determining a liquid transfer scenario (9), the transfer scenario defining one or more flows of liquid to be transferred between the tanks during a transfer period in order to shift from the initial state to the target state of the tanks, calculating a probability of damage to the tanks (10) during the course of said transfer scenario, as a function of successive filling levels of the tanks during the transfer period, if the probability of damage to the tanks satisfies an acceptance criterion, transferring (13) the liquid between the tanks in accordance with said transfer scenario.
Liquid level gauge with integral electronic display
An electronic liquid level gauge assembly includes an electronic display located in a housing connected to a tank. The display has first and second display portions for indicating liquid level condition. A first electronic sensor senses a change in magnetic field of a magnet associated with a liquid level transducer, with magnet rotation being proportional liquid level change. A processor determines a temperature-compensated liquid level condition by correlating the liquid level signal with temperature measurement of the liquid. A temperature-compensated vapor space can also be calculated based on tank information and properties of the liquid. Signals related to the temperature-compensated liquid level and vapor space are sent to the display and wirelessly transmitted to a smart phone or the like for remotely viewing the tank information. The smart phone also includes a special app for sending information, firmware updates, and display configuration data to the electronic gauge assembly.

Disclosed herein are devices, methods, and systems that useful for allowing consumers to purchase a fluid in limited and/or discrete amounts or volumes, for example as-needed, daily, weekly, etc. In various embodiments, the disclosed devices, systems, and methods provide for an innovative fluid distribution system, including a device that can receive and monitor payment for a discrete amount of fluid, measure the fluid as it flows through the device, and stop fluid flow when the discrete amount of fluid has flowed through the device. The disclosed device may be in communication with a central server for receiving payment from the user, and providing information to the central server of the device's status.

Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Safety System and Method
A multiply-redundant system that prevents a driver from starting and/or moving a vehicle if a compressed natural gas fill system is not correctly and completely disconnected from the vehicle. One or more sensors in combination with one or more optional microswitches combine to lock-out the vehicle's ignition or otherwise prevent it from starting and/or moving. For different levels of safety, different combinations of sensors can be used with the lowest level having a single proximity sensor sensing the presence or absence of a high-pressure fill hose. The highest level of safety being achieved by having separate proximity sensors on the fuel fill hose fitting, the gas cap cover and a manual safety valve along with a redundant microswitch. An optional override that may be restricted as to the number of times it can be used can allow starting with a faulty sensor in order to allow maintenance.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING OR CONTROLLING IMPACT LOAD RESULTING FROM FLUID UNDER INTERNAL/EXTERNAL FORCE IN SPECIFIC ENVIRONMENT
A system that controls an impact load resulting from a fluid under an internal/external force is provided. The system senses an impact load, of a fluid under an internal/external force and attenuates the impact load. The present invention includes a floating means arranged horizontally inside an amount of fluid in an open space or in a sealed interior, a position adjustment means is vertically connected to the floating means and positioned inside the fluid, a sensing means disposed inside the fluid, on the floating means, the position adjustment means, or a structure in the periphery senses a measurement object. A controller predicts/monitors and predicts/controls fluid dynamics-related forces, hull stress, six-degree-of-freedom movements, and positions in connection with a transportation means or maritime structure. The floating means, the position adjustment means, and the sensing means are installed thereon, and use the value from the measurement object transmitted from the sensing means.

The present disclosure provides a storage system comprising a storage tank configured to store fuel at a cryogenic temperature for a predetermined amount of time. The storage tank may have a plurality of layers comprising: a first layer comprising a pressure vessel for containing the fuel at a pressurized state; a second layer comprising insulation for the first layer; a third layer comprising a vapor barrier; and a fourth layer comprising a shell configured to maintain a rigidity of the storage tank.
