Protective device for pressurized gas containers
Protective devices for pressurized gas cylinders have a housing which is arranged around an inner cavity intended for receiving an extraction valve and which has access openings for the extraction connection and for further fittings. In order to counteract soiling or contamination of the extraction connection, the invention provides for an elastically deformable safety element to be fastened to the housing in the region of the access opening of the extraction connection, said element being able to be swung out from a closed position, in which the extraction connection is completely covered and/or enclosed by the safety element, into a position in which it frees the extraction connection.
SENSOR MOUNTING SYSTEM
A sensor mounting assembly is configured for use with a vessel arrangement including at least four vessels. The assembly includes first and second elongated frame members, first and second rollers, and first and second sensors. The first sensor is attached to the first elongated frame member and is configured to contact the surface of the first vessel upon actuation in a first direction. The second sensor is attached to the second elongated frame member and is configured to contact the surface of the second vessel upon actuation in a second direction that is substantially orthogonal to the first direction. This disclosure also describes a method of mounting at least six sensors for use with a vessel arrangement including at least four vessels, the vessel arrangement disposed in a container in a two-by-two stacked configuration having a central space.
TERMINAL TRACTOR WITH VERSATILE FUELING
A vehicle such as a terminal or yard tractor used for freight spotting is provided with one or more individual, portable LPG cylinders of the type used by forklifts facilitating tank swapping on an as-needed basis for reduced downtime. Each auxiliary cylinder is a portable, removable and replaceable cylinder having a fuel capacity less than that of the vehicle's primary tank. A controller interfaced to a sensor and a pump is operative to pump fuel from the auxiliary LPG cylinder and into the fuel line to refill the primary LPG tank when the fuel level of the primary tank falls below a predetermined level. The invention may be factory-installed onto the vehicle, or may be provided as a kit enabling an existing vehicle to be retrofitted with the auxiliary LPG cylinder(s).
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS DISTRIBUTION
A method of distributing liquefied petroleum gas is described. The method comprises receiving payment for a predetermined amount of liquefied petroleum gas, transmitting an instruction to a valve to distribute liquefied petroleum gas monitoring, by a metering device, an amount of liquefied petroleum gas distributed determining, by the metering device, that the amount of distributed liquefied petroleum gas has reached a threshold amount, wherein the threshold amount is based, at least in part, on the predetermined amount, and responsive to determining that the amount of distributed liquefied petroleum gas has reached the threshold amount, transmitting an instruction to the valve to cease distribution of the liquefied petroleum gas.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGEMENT OF CRYOGENIC STORAGE VESSELS
Dual level sensing, vacuum monitoring, smart supply cylinders, smart oxygen monitors, and real time data collection functionality are integrated with a cryogenic storage system to improve sample safety and user safety. The dual level sensing system includes two liquid nitrogen level sensors installed into a cryogenic freezer that send redundant level information to a controller. Vacuum monitoring is performed via a gauge, installed on a vacuum port, that communicates data to the controller. The controller further receives level information from supply cylinders and oxygen levels from one or more oxygen monitors. The aforementioned data sources can be integrated into control decisions executed by the controller. In addition, all operational data of the cryogenic storage system is communicated to a cloud-based platform to provide real-time status monitoring, trend analysis, and alarm notifications.
Valve for a pressurized fluid cylinder and corresponding cylinder
The invention relates to a pressurized fluid cylinder, a member for acquiring, storing and processing data, and at least one data display device. The valve comprises a sensor which detects the position of a manual control member, and a pressure sensor for measuring the pressure inside the storage space of a fluid cylinder. The data acquisition, storage and processing member is designed to: calculate an actual value for the amount of fluid remaining and/or drawn off; calculate a theoretical value for the amount of fluid remaining and/or drawn of on the basis of the regulation performed by the regulating member and measured by the position of the control member compare the actual value based on the measurement of the pressure sensor with the theoretical value; and generate a warning signal if the difference between these actual and theoretical values is greater than a specific safety threshold.
In-tank valve
In an in-tank valve, a detector including a detecting sensor is disposed on an end of a body, and the detecting sensor is accommodated inside a sensor housing. Within the sensor housing, a sensor retaining member is formed in an interior part of an opened sensor accommodating section, and the detecting sensor is disposed therein so as to face toward a first communication hole of the sensor retaining member. Lead wires, which are connected to the detecting sensor, are led out to the exterior in a bending fashion from a wiring port, whereby entry of hydrogen gas to the side of the detecting sensor is prevented by suitably closing the wiring port.
Digital regulated gas dispensing apparatus with a MEMS mass flow meter
The design and structure of a regulated digital gas dispense apparatus is exhibited in this disclosure. The MEMS mass flow meter embedded with a Bluetooth communication device and powered by a battery pack is designed to replace the mechanical low pressure gauge in a conventional gas dispense regulator such that the dispensed gas flowrate as well as totalized dispensed gas volume in each session or in consequent sessions can be continuously and precisely registered. The measured data are further relayed to local users via the local display or physical data port as well as via a paired smart device running a customized APP that can further relay the data to a designated cloud for cloud data processing, and the data can be streamed reversely. This disclosure shall assist and realize the ultimate optimized management for the users, distributors and/or gas manufacturers in the gas dispensing industry.
SET FOR DISPENSING LIQUEFIED GAS
A set (10) for dispensing liquefied gas from a vessel (100) comprises a supporting structure (1), a pump (2) and a conditioning system (4). The supporting structure is designed for maintaining both the pump and the conditioning system inside the vessel when the set is in operation condition for dispensing a flow of liquefied gas. The set allows easy handling, simple fitting to the vessel and easy removal from the vessel because a main part of said set can be handled as a one-block element.
