A light string is provided. The light string includes a plurality of light-emitting components, a first polyvinyl chloride covered wire and a second polyvinyl chloride covered wire. The light-emitting components are configured to emit light having a same color or different colors. A first polyvinyl chloride covered wire is electrically connected to a first terminal of each of the light-emitting components and a first power terminal of a power supply component. The first polyvinyl chloride covered wire receives a first voltage from the first power terminal of the power supply component. The second polyvinyl chloride covered wire is electrically connected to a second terminal of each of the light-emitting components and a second power terminal of the power supply component. The second polyvinyl chloride covered wire receives a second voltage from the second power terminal of the power supply component.

Auto-gradient combinations for pixel compensation

A luminaire adapted to apply an auto-gradient effect across pixels has an interface coupled by a connection to a controller. The controller has electronic circuitry that receives a predetermined start light parameter for a start pixel of a luminaire and receives a predetermined end light parameter for an end pixel of the first luminaire, the predetermined end light parameter greater than the predetermined start light parameter. The controller circuitry then automatically interpolates a gradient effect for a middle light parameter of each of a plurality of middle pixels of the luminaire based on the start and end predetermined light parameters. The controller circuitry then outputs control signals having the start, end and middle light parameters to the start, end and middle light pixels, respectively, through the connection and to the interface.

LIGHT ASSEMBLY WITH LED STRING

A light-emitting diode (LED) string includes an electrically conductive wire and a plurality of LEDs. The LEDs are electrically connected to the wire in series along an axial length of the wire. The LED string may include a solder layer, with the LEDs electrically connected to the wire via the solder layer. A tube having an optional phosphor coating may circumscribe the wire and LEDs. When connected to a surface, the LED string emits light in a band of at least 180 degrees with respect to the surface. A light assembly includes a first surface and a first LED string configured as set forth above. The light assembly may include a second LED string positioned with respect to the surface and having additional LEDs configured to illuminate in response to a second control signal from the controller.

A LED strip having LED chips and a strip to which the LED chips are fixed and which also functions as a support structure of conductors coupled with the LED chips, and a tube manufactured from an elastic and at least partly light-transmitting material and surrounding the strip with the LED chips. At the outer surface of the tube there is a fixing element which is in essential parts of the same material as the tube. The LED strip includes a thermal conduction part which is of a material different from the tube and which, in the cross-section of the LED strip, is directed outwards from the inner surface of the tube for conducting waste heat generated in the LED chips out from the tube.

DUAL-COLOR LIGHT STRINGS
