Bi-level light fixture for public transportation tunnels
A light fixture usable in train tunnels provides normal mode downlighting for track and walkway lighting and a selective task lighting mode where higher-lumen lighting is provided in at least the same downlighting direction as the track and walkway lighting. The normal lighting illumination level is at least 0.25 to 2.00 foot-candles at the illuminated surfaces. The task lighting mode provides at least 5.00 foot-candles to the same illuminated surfaces. The task lighting mode is achieved with the same light source that provides the normal mode lighting or with additional light sources that are activated together with or instead of the normal lighting mode light sources. The light sources can be a plurality light emitting diode (LED) engines that include a plurality of LEDs. The task lighting mode can also use another light source to provide additional task lighting up from the fixture.
LED lighting fixture
Embodiments of the present invention provide a light emitting diode (LED) lighting fixture and methods of manufacturing the same. In various embodiments, the LED lighting fixture comprises a lighting fixture body and one or more luminaires. The one or more LED modules are operatively and securely fixed to the lighting fixture body. Each LED module comprises at least one LED, and a heat sink. The at least one LED is mounted within the LED module such that light emitted by the at least on LED is emitted in an upward direction. The heat sink is positioned such that at least a portion of the light emitted by the at least one LED is not incident upon the heat sink. Additionally, the heat sink is permanently fixed to the lighting fixture body.
SOLAR COACH LIGHT
A solar coach light configured to be mounted to a wall comprises a bracket to be mounted to the wall and a light fixture. The bracket comprises a mounting plate and an arm extending therefrom. The light fixture comprises a plurality of top faces and a bottom face defining together an enclosure; a solar panel mounted to one of the top faces; a battery cell housed by the enclosure; a socket mounted to the bottom face to plug a light bulb therein; and a removable shade assembly mounted to the bottom face comprising a plurality of removable shades. The removable shade assembly defines a space surrounding the bottom face providing protection from the environment. The solar coach light comprises a hanging assembly connecting the light fixture to the arm distant from the mounting plate.
Light fixture with illumination and germicidal light engines
A light fixture includes a visible light module and a germicidal light module. The visible light module may include one or more visible light engines designed for emitting visible light for general illumination. The visible light module may define a top side, a bottom side opposite the top side, and an outer perimeter around the top side and the bottom side. The visible light module may define an aperture extending through the visible light module from the top side to the bottom side. The visible light module may be designed to emit the visible light out of and across the bottom side from the outer perimeter to an inner perimeter defined by the aperture. The germicidal light module may be coupled to the visible light module. The germicidal light module includes a germicidal light engine designed to emit germicidal light through the aperture effective in deactivating pathogens.
Multi-directional adjustable solar outdoor projection light
A multi-directional adjustable solar outdoor projection light capable of adjusting its lighting range, angle and sensing direction includes a support assembly, and a key light, and a solar power module which are pivoted to the top of the support assembly. Both sides of the key light are pivoted with a fill light capable of adjusting the angles of elevation and depression and the front and rear directions of a projected light relative to the key light, and the support assembly is pivoted is an axially rotatable sensor, thus improving the convenience of use and expanding the lighting range of the solar outdoor projection light.
Surface mounted LED-based linear lighting apparatus with articulating fastener
A surface-mounted linear lighting system includes a metal extrusion having an elongated element having a substantially U-shaped cross-section comprising a first vertical sidewall, a second vertical sidewall and a horizontal floor joining the first and second sidewalls, a first groove on an exterior of the first vertical sidewall, a second groove on an exterior of the horizontal floor, a third groove on the exterior of the horizontal floor, and a fourth groove on an exterior of the second vertical sidewall; and a plurality of articulating fasteners configured for coupling to a pair of grooves in the metal extrusion selected from the group: the first groove, the second groove, the third groove and the fourth groove, fastening to a surface, and providing a hinged connection between the metal extrusion and the surface.
Gate light apparatus
The present gate light apparatus includes an adapter bracket having a front side and a rear side. On the front side, the bracket engages a housing having a motion detector, photo sensor, and light source. On the rear side, the bracket engages two support members of a gate.
Junction box cover and lighting fixture assembly
A junction box cover assembly for attachment over an opening in an electrical junction box allows for a concealed connection to avoid detracting from the lighting fixture. The assembly includes a cover plate capable of being mounted to a junction box, the'cover plate having an opening there through defined by a first threaded collar extending from the cover plate, a hub having a flange radially extending from a periphery of a second threaded collar defining a passage and configured to attach to the first threaded collar of the cover plate, and a circular insert detachably connected within the passage defined by the threaded collar, the circular insert having an opening for passing electrical wiring from the junction box through the passage, out the insert opening and to a light fixture. The cover plate and the radially extending flange somewhat sandwich a surface, such as drywall or wallboard, and the flange is configured to permit covering with spackling paste or joint compound to conceal the flange.
Road tunnel lighting system with continuous plurality of lighting devices
A lighting system having a plurality of lighting devices continuously arranged along the longitudinal direction of a tunnel, such that the distance between the lighting devices corresponds to the flicker frequency for the speed of traffic traveling through the tunnel. Each of the lighting devices includes a longitudinal base, means for securing the base to the tunnel, a translucent cover, at least one printed circuit board (PCB), and a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged on the PCB to form at least one row. The distance between the LEDs is selected such that the angle of emission of the LEDs, provide in the longitudinal direction, a substantially uniform illumination distribution at the desired height of the lighting device. The means of securing the base to the tunnel enables adjustment of an angle of inclination of each lighting device, relative to the transverse direction of the tunnel to create a substantially uniform light output.
Twist and lock mounting bracket
A twist-and-lock mounting bracket may secure a lighting fixture to a mounting surface. The twist-and-lock mounting bracket may define an aperture having features corresponding to the shape of a twist-and-lock element disposed on a housing of a lighting fixture. Accordingly, the twist-and-lock element may be configured to extend through the aperture while the corresponding features of the twist-and-lock element and the aperture are aligned. The housing may then be rotated such that the tabs do not align with the corresponding features of the aperture, and the twist-and-lock element is thereby prevented from sliding through the aperture. The mounting bracket may be secured to a junction box positioned within a mounting surface, or it may be secured to a biasing bracket having one or more second resilient members configured to engage the interior of a recessed can light, such that the lighting fixture may be secured to the recessed can light.
