Vehicle headlamp device
A vehicle headlamp device to be applied to a vehicle includes a light source and a lens. The light source configured to emit illumination light. The illumination light is to pass through the lens. The lens includes an illumination light converging portion configured to, when a part of the illumination light passes through the illumination light converging portion, converge the part of the illumination light. The illumination light converging portion is provided in a region through which high-beam illumination light emitted from the light source passes. The illumination light converged by the illumination light converging portion is used as marking light at an optical axis adjustment that is performed during manufacturing of the vehicle.

Automotive lamp optical system with light diffusive projection lens
The present invention relates to an automotive optical system; the optical system includes one or more first optical elements that reflect light rays emitted from a number of first light sources that are configured to perform a first lighting function and a second optical element; the second optical element is configured to project a light beam from the first optical elements configured to perform the first lighting function where a portion of the second optical element is made of a diffusive material. Furthermore, the optical system includes a number of secondary light sources where the second optical element is configured to receive light ray emissions from the secondary light sources and perform a second lighting function by scattering light rays received from secondary light sources.
VEHICLE LIGHTING MODULE
A vehicle lighting module includes first and second optical units, each having a light source and a light distribution forming portion configured to control an optical path of light emitted from the light source. The first and second optical units are configured to form first and second light distribution patterns in front, respectively. Horizontal illumination widths of the first and second light distribution patterns are substantially equal. Each of the first and second light distribution patterns has a horizontally extending cutoff line at at least a part of an end edge of one of upper and lower sides thereof. The cutoff line of the first light distribution pattern is positioned at the one of the upper and lower sides of the cutoff line of the second light distribution pattern.
Headlamp for vehicle
A vehicle headlamp includes a reflector having plural reflecting surfaces arranged in a left-right direction, and n light sources which are arranged in the left-right direction and emit light toward any one of the reflecting surfaces. At least two adjacent light sources are provided as a common light source which emits light toward a same reflecting surface. n illumination patterns which illuminate different regions in the left-right direction are formed by light emitted from the n light sources, respectively, and are taken as a first to n-th illumination patterns in this order in the left-right direction. At least half of areas of illumination patterns of an immediately-following number and an immediately-preceding number overlap each other in the left-right direction. Focal lengths of the plural reflecting surfaces are set such that adjacent illumination patterns which do not overlap each other are formed by light emitted from the common light source.

Phosphor element, phosphor device, and illumination device
A phosphor element includes an incident face for an excitation light, a reflecting face opposing the incident face and a side face, and the phosphor element converts at least a part of the excitation light incident onto the incident face into a fluorescence and emits the fluorescence from the incident face. The incident face has an area greater that an area of the reflecting face. The phosphor element includes an inclination region in which an inclination angle of the side face with respect to a vertical axis perpendicular to the incident face is monotonously increased from the reflecting face toward the incident face, viewed in a cross-section perpendicular to the incident face and along the longest dividing line halving the incident face.

Vehicle headlamp device
A vehicle headlamp device to be applied to a vehicle includes a light source, a lens, and a controller. The light source is configured to emit light. Light emitted from the light source is to pass through the lens. The controller is configured to control light distribution patterns for the light. The light distribution patterns include at least a first light distribution pattern and a second light distribution pattern. The first light distribution pattern illuminates an area ahead of the vehicle during running of the vehicle. The second light distribution pattern is projected as a marking at an optical axis adjustment that is performed during manufacturing of the vehicle. The controller causes a part of the light source to emit light so that the second light distribution pattern is formed.
