A headlamp device includes a headlamp, an object detector, and a controller. The headlamp is mounted on a vehicle and includes a light emitting unit composed of multiple light emitting cells. The object detector detects an object around the vehicle and generates an object detection signal including object coordinates corresponding to a location of the detected object. The controller controls light of the headlamp based on information on the object coordinates. The controller may control the light emitting unit such that at least some light emitting cells are turned off according to an object detection signal. Each of multiple light emitting units includes a circuit board, the multiple light emitting cells separated from each other on the circuit board, a molding member formed between the light emitting structures, and a protective member formed on the molding member to surround sides of the multiple wavelength conversion members while filling a gap between the multiple wavelength conversion members

Lighting device for a motor vehicle and production method

The invention relates to a lighting device, for a motor vehicle, including a plurality of light sources, which have a plurality of primary lenses dedicated to each of the respective light sources for focusing the light emitted by the respective light sources. The lighting device also has a secondary optics element which has a plurality of light entry surfaces dedicated to each respective light source and one light exit surface. A grid is located downstream of the light exit surface on the secondary optics element in the exit direction of the light, for segmenting the light exiting the light exit surface.

VEHICLE HEADLIGHT

A vehicle headlight (1) is equipped with: a light source unit (10) for forming a light distribution pattern which can be changed by light beams emitted from a light source group (130); and a control unit (CO). In a case where a detection signal of another vehicle present in front of an ego-vehicle (100) is inputted from a detection unit (29) for detecting the other vehicle, the control unit (CO) causes first light sources of the light source group (130), which emit light toward a first region (AR1) including a region overlapping a visual recognition part of the other vehicle used by a driver thereof to visually recognize the outside of the other vehicle, to emit light having a lower intensity than in a case where no detection signal is inputted, and causes second light sources, among second light sources of the light source group (130) that emit light toward a second region (AR2) surrounding the first region (AR1), which emit light toward a lower-side region (BA1) lower than the first region (AR1), to emit light with an increasingly lower intensity toward the side closer to the first region (AR1).
