VEHICLE LAMP
A lamp for a vehicle includes a first lamp unit that forms a first region of a beam pattern using a plurality of first lamp modules arranged along a width direction of the vehicle; and a second lamp unit that is disposed more outward than the first lamp unit along the width direction of the vehicle and forms a second region of the beam pattern using a plurality of second lamp modules arranged along the width direction of the vehicle.
LED LIGHTING STRIP WITH BENT WIRES
An LED lighting strip, method of manufacturing an LED lighting strip and an automotive lighting system are described. The LED lighting strip includes at least two outer wires, at least one central wire between the two outer wires, LEDs arranged along the LED lighting strip and electrically coupled at least to the at least two outer wires, and an enclosing member enclosing the at least two outer wires, the at one central wire and the LEDs. The at least two outer wires and the least one central wire have a bend in sections between at least some adjacent LEDs.
Method and apparatus for a signal indicator light
A lighting module is shown and described having a housing with an opening therethrough. A forward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a cap and a rearward portion of the opening may be enclosed by a transparent media. A second media may extend from the opening through a wall of the housing. The cap may be securable to a bar via a mounting apparatus. A PCBA with one or more operational groups of LEDs may be secured within the opening, such that light may be emitted through the media. A second PCBA with one or more operational groups of LEDs may be secured within the opening, such that light may be emitted through the second media. Each operational group may be integrated with a control system of a vehicle, and may be operated individually or collectively. Each operational group may correspond to similar or different colors of light.
Low profile rear lamp applique assembly
A rear liftgate assembly with at least one rear lamp applique assembly and process for manufacturing same. The lamp applique assembly includes a rear lamp applique housing with at least one attachment surface for attaching to an outer panel of the liftgate assembly. A plurality of integrated snap attachment features are provided to connect the lamp applique assembly to the outer panel, thereby eliminating additional bonding and fasteners. A self-sealing wire harness connected accepts an integrated lamp connector, thereby eliminating the need for access openings, to further minimize water intrusion, and eliminate gaskets.
Rotation light source lamp system for reducing chromatic aberration and vehicle using the same
A rotation light source lamp system is combined with a rotation light source device in which a chromatic aberration correction unit obviates focal distance differences occurring between incident paths “a” of lights emitted by LED light sources sequentially synchronized and turned on when first to N-th LED chips arrive at a location where each LED chip faces a signal transmitter while the first to N-th LED chips are rotated once in response to the application of a lamp turn-on signal for the vehicle from the signal transmitter. Chromatic aberration can be reduced by correcting a difference between refractive indices for each wavelength having a different color in the first to N-th LED chips.
LED RETROFIT VEHICLE SIGNALING LAMP WITH PROJECTION LED LIGHT SOURCE, SMARTPHONE APP FOR CONTROLLING IT AND CORRESPONDING SYSTEM
An LED retrofit signaling lamp is described herein. The lamp includes a lamp body, which includes a cap, a projection part, and a burner part between the cap and the projection part. Power contacts are exposed from the cap. A projection LED light source is provided in the projection part and angled to provide a projected image near to the vehicle when activated. A signaling LED light source is provided in the burner part angled to emit non-projected light via the projection part at angles that avoid the emitted light being blocked by the projection LED light source. The projection LED light source and the signaling LED light source are electrically coupled to the power contacts in parallel to each other.
REDUCED-TOLERANCE LIGHTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLES
A lighting module for use in a lighting device for a vehicle, having at least one light source unit, a first optical unit and a second optical unit as well as at least one support element, wherein the light source unit comprises at least one light source, and wherein at least the first optical unit and the second optical unit are arranged, in particular in a positionally fixed manner, on the support element, and wherein at least one first reference mark is provided on the first optical unit and at least one second reference mark on the second optical unit. In addition, the invention relates to a lighting device as well as to a method.
Replaceable vehicle light
The present invention may include a replaceable vehicle light including a lamp body, a printed circuit board (pcb) supported by the lamp body, and the pcb may include a plurality of individual lights arranged in a radial pattern. A controller chip may be included on the pcb, the controller chip may provide electrical energy to each of the individual lights, thereby enabling selective illumination of each of the individual lights. The controller chip may provide a lighting designation, wherein some of the individual lights are designated as primary lights being illuminated at a first brightness, which may illuminate in a radial pattern. The radial pattern may provide a more visible pattern which may be more distinguishable from other roadway lighting, thereby increasing visibility of the replaceable vehicle light.
Multi-section LED light bar with driver
A lighting assembly for use with a vehicle includes a light bar having a one or more circuit boards positioned within one or more housings wherein each circuit board includes light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted to a surface thereof. The light bar may be divided into portions wherein each portion has its own housing. The light bar is operationally connected to an electronic control unit (ECU), wherein the ECU controls operation of the light bar and its components. The ECU is operationally connected to an electrical system of the vehicle such that the ECU can receive signals, commands, and/or information from the vehicle. The ECU is adapted to control the light bar, including illumination of LEDs thereon, based on the signals, commands, and/or information from the vehicle. The ECU is further adapted to emit and/or control audio output based on the signals, commands, and/or information from the vehicle.
