A vehicle light, wherein light to be emitted by a base light source which is offset with respect to an emission surface is first conducted radially outwards in targeted manner and is then reflected in an axial direction with respect to the emission surface, uses light-conducting bodies, which are spaced apart from a deflection mirror, or a light-conducting space, which extends first radially and then axially, to obtain as light-intensive, uniform and directional light emissions as possible.

LIGHTING APPARATUS FOR VEHICLES

A lighting apparatus for vehicles with a housing sealed by a transparent covering panel, containing a light source unit and an optical unit for producing a predetermined light function, wherein the optical unit has a hologram element and/or diffractive element in which diffraction information for producing the light function is contained, wherein optics are disposed downstream of the hologram element and/or the diffractive element in the light beam path, so that light of different orders of diffraction emerging from the hologram element and/or the diffractive element produce different light functions.

VEHICLE WINGLET WITH SEQUENTIAL BLINKER
20200198530 · 2020-06-25 ·

A vehicle winglet (e.g., sideview mirror, camera or radar assembly, etc.) is provided with sequential illumination of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). A light guide is connected to and covers the LEDs. The light guide is made of a translucent material and is configured to guide light illuminated by the LEDs and transfer the light out of the light guide. The light guide includes a plurality of light guide towers extending therefrom. Each light guide tower is aligned with a respective one of the LEDs. In some embodiments, a plurality of collimators are provided, with each collimator aligned with a respective one of the LEDs and with a respective one of the light guide towers to redirect the light illuminated from the respective LED into the respective light guide tower.

LIGHT GUIDE ASSEMBLY FOR DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS
20200182429 · 2020-06-11 ·

A light guide assembly for a vehicle headlamp is provided. The light guide assembly generally includes a light guide, a retainer defining an elongated channel for the light guide, and a carrier within the retainer and partially surrounding the light guide. The carrier is a standalone component in some embodiments, while in other embodiments the carrier is a layer or a coating on the retainer. The carrier is substantially black and is visible on either side of the light guide to mask a break in the carrier, the break providing an opening for the light guide to enter the headlamp housing. The light guide assembly thereby achieves a consistently-dark border on either side of the light guide along its entire length, even in the location of the housing opening.
