Polyesters, such as those formed using polyols and di- or tri-carboxylic acids or anhydrides or salts thereof, are used as foam control agents in foodstuff processing. The polyesters are biodegradable and biocompatible while still providing excellent foam control capacity. In addition, polyesters foam control agents of the disclosure can be used with various apparatus while avoiding forming films that otherwise affect apparatus function. The polyesters can be used at various stages during industrial processing of vegetables (e.g., potatoes and beets) and fruits.

NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING HYDROLYZED PROTEIN AND A MODIFIED FAT SYSTEM AND USES THEREOF

Disclosed embodiments provide nutritional compositions and methods of enhancing maturation of an infant's brain. The methods include the step of administering to the infant a nutritional composition comprising a protein with a degree of hydrolysis of 10% to 75% in combination with at least one of a monoglyceride, a free fatty acid, a salt of a free fatty acid, a phospholipid, and cholesterol.

ALKYL ETHER AMINE FOAM CONTROL COMPOUNDS AND METHODS OF PROCESSING FOODSTUFFS
20210339171 · 2021-11-04 ·

Alkyl ether amines are used as foam control compounds in foodstuff processing. The alkyl ether amines can be used at various stages during industrial processing of vegetables, fruits, and plants, such as potatoes and beets. The alkyl ether amines are generally of lower molecular weights and therefore easily transported to the foam layer to break the foam structure. Further, the alkyl ether amines are water soluble and therefore can be readily removed from the food processing system.

COMPOSITIONS FOR ADMINISTRATION TO ANIMALS TO INCREASE GUT NON-PROTEIN NITROGEN LEVELS

The present invention is concerned with increasing protein intake in a ruminant animal by supplementing the diet of the ruminant animal with urea phosphate. There can also be supplementation with a water soluble sulfur-containing salt such as ammonium sulfate. Urea can be administered together with urea phosphate. The composition provides a slow release form of urea that avoids inducing ammonia toxicity in the animal and is water soluble for administration to the animal in drinking water.
