Disclosed are various embodiments of LED lamps that are both watertight and waterproof for use in outdoor venues. The LED lamps can easily be assembled using automated or manual techniques and provide a reliable source of outdoor lighting for many years. Simple and inexpensive techniques are used to assemble the LED lamps that allow the lamps to be produced at a reasonable price.

An LED tube lamp comprises a heat-dissipating glass lamp tube, protective film attached to a surface of the glass lamp tube, an LED light strip disposed in the glass lamp tube and two end caps, each of the two end caps coupled to a respective end of the glass lamp tube. The LED light strip comprises a substantially flat LED circuit board and a plurality of LED light sources, the LED circuit board comprises a top surface and a base surface, and the plurality of LED light sources mounted on the top surface and the base surface are directly affixed to a curved inner surface of the glass lamp tube. A non-insulating adhesive layer is disposed between the base surface of the LED circuit board and the curved inner surface of the glass lamp tube and extends along a length of the LED light strip. The LED circuit board comprises a first end electrically connecting to a first connector and a second end electrically connecting to a second connector, wherein the first connector and the second connector are connectable to a light fixture through the end caps. The inner space of the glass lamp tube comprises ambient atmosphere. The plurality of LED light sources emit white light. The diameter of the lamp tube is 5/8 inch or 1 inch and a length of the glass lamp tube is 2 ft, 4 ft or 8 ft.

An LED lamp that can take the place of incandescent lamps. An elevated light source is positioned above a screw-type base. A first plurality of LEDs is connected in a series on one side of a flat substrate and a second plurality of LEDs, equal in number to the first, is connected in series on an opposite side of the substrate. Each LED of the first and second plurality of LEDs is mounted proximate a heat sink and a drive circuit is provided for the LEDs, with the drive circuit being located proximate and electrically connected to the screw base.

In accordance with certain embodiments, systems of lighting components feature multiple illumination panels each having a backing support and, secured thereto, multiple illumination elements. The illumination elements have shapes defined by arrangements of illumination unit cells may be assembled to illuminate an arbitrary two-dimensional area.

A light string for artificial trees and lighted decorative sculptures. The light string includes a wiring assembly with first and second parallel electrical conductors that extends substantially parallel to said first electrical conductor, electrical insulation comprising polyvinyl chloride that extends along said central axis and encases said first electrical conductor and said second single electrical conductor, and a plurality of light-emitting diode (LED) assemblies encapsulated by a translucent material, each LED assembly including a housing, an LED mounted to the housing, each LED assembly electrically connected to, and mechanically in between, the first conductor and the second conductor so as to exert a lateral force on the first and second conductors thereby causing the first and second conductors to bend in a direction transverse to the central axis.

Controlled environment light fixture configurations include an LED light source. The light fixtures can be installed and removed from below the ceiling. The light fixture can be installed and removed without opening the lens frame of the light fixture. The light fixture includes a sealed housing and seals to the ceiling when installed. The light fixtures are provided in exterior dimension sizes that allow the fixtures to be installed in a variety of controlled environment ceilings in recessed configurations. The lower surface exposed to the controlled environment is free of welds and grinds in order to provide a corrosion resistant surface.

A light, in particular, a light having a fly killing function that can be used for lighting and killing flies including at least one LED chip, a fly storage means, a negative pressure fan, a fan hanger, a ventilation net, a power supply; wherein the fly storage means is connected to the fan hanger, the LED chip is secured to an lower end of the fly storage means, the fly storage means including an air inlet and a fly storage groove, the negative pressure fan is mounted onto the fan hanger above the fly storage means, a gap is provided between the blades of the negative pressure fan and an upper end of the fly storage means to allow flies to go through; the ventilation net includes a plurality of ventilation holes having a size that is able to stop flies from passing therethrough, and the ventilation net is provided circumferentially between the outside wall of the fan hanger and the outside wall of the fly storage means, and the fan hanger, the ventilation net and the fly storage means form a substantially closed space except the ventilation holes and the air inlet.

The present invention relates to a frame (100) for supporting a light guide panel (120). The frame (100) being provided with: a solid state light source (102) connected to and arranged on a circuit board (104), the circuit board (104) comprising an electrically insulating outer perimeter portion (104a); an insulation layer (106) being electrically insulating, the insulation layer (106) having a surface area larger than a surface area of the circuit board (104); wherein the insulation layer (106) is arranged on the frame (100); the circuit board (104) is arranged on the insulation layer (106) such that an insulating outer perimeter portion (106a) of the insulation layer (106) is formed outside of the circuit board (106); thereby providing a double insulation of the solid state light source (102) in relation to the frame (100). The invention also relates to a luminaire (130) comprising the frame (100).

An elevator alert system for alerting a mechanic working inside a hoistway comprises an elevator car vertically movable within a hoistway, a counterweight vertically movable within the hoistway and a compensation member with one end connected to the bottom of the elevator car and the other end connected to the bottom of the counterweight. The compensation member includes at least one light source attached to the compensation member near the elevator car or counterweight. The at least one light source longitudinally extends along the compensation member over a length.

An LED control system is provided for connection to an LED lighting system via a power line to control the LED lighting system using commands formed by manipulation of frequency and amplitude of a signal transmitted over the power line. The signal may be for example a wave or a sequence of pulses. The signal may be provided in superposition with line power or the line power may be formed as the signal. The signal can be provided intermittently and a carrier wave also provided and modulated at the same time as the signal. When the signal is not being produced, the power on the power line may be power that is allowed to flow without manipulation from an external portion of the power line.
