Method and apparatus for combustion of gaseous or liquid fuel
A method and apparatus for combustion of fuel in a combustion chamber with a hydraulic diameter D. Fuel and a primary oxidant are introduced via a burner lance into the combustion chamber, having a certain mean velocity u1 at entry, and a secondary oxidant with a mean velocity of u2 is introduced into the combustion chamber. The burner lance has a position p that has a distance Id1I defined as the smallest distance between p and a combustion chamber centerline.

LIGHT WEIGHT SWIRLER FOR GAS TURBINE ENGINE COMBUSTOR AND A METHOD FOR LIGHTENING A SWIRLER FOR A GAS TURBINE ENGINE
The disclosure is directed to a swirler body for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, where the swirler body includes an annular mount face which defines at least one pocket. The disclosure is directed to a swirler assembly for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, where the swirler assembly includes a swirler first body with an annular first mount face which defines at least one first pocket and a swirler second body with an annular second mount face which abuts said annular first mount face, where said second annular mount face defines at least one second pocket. The disclosure is directed to a method of lightening a swirler assembly for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, where the method includes defining at least one pocket within an annular mount face of a swirler body.
COMPACT BURNER FOR AN ENTRAINED-FLOW GASIFIER HAVING NO LIQUID COOLING
A compact burner for the pressurized gasification of pulverized fuel dust for producing synthesis gas, wherein a plurality of concentric media channels transition into a conical burner tip. The burner tip provides a reduced contact surface on the reaction chamber side. The nozzle components of the burner tip are produced by selective laser melting, which permits a design for cooling by supplied media, such as fuel gas, flushing gas, or oxidation. A sliding guide having an intermediate seal is arranged between the nozzle components of two media channels to equalize temperature-driven linear extensions. The compact burner makes the expense for liquid cooling unnecessary.

FIRE COLUMN
In order to create a safe and simply designed fire column, the flame of which is fed from a fuel tank, in particular for bioethanol, and is surrounded by an outer casing (4), wherein supply air flows in largely axially in the lower region of the outer casing via a plurality of guide elements (3) and is preferably set in helical rotation to form a swirling flame, according to the invention the outer casing (4) is placed over the guide elements (3). The outer casing (4) is preferably centered in an upright position by outer edges (3a) of the guide elements (3).
