Burner with a slurry coating, with high resistance to metal dusting
At least a part of a burner for a catalytic reactor is coated with a silicate based nickel aluminide slurry diffusion coating.
NICKEL-BASED ALLOY WITH A SLURRY COATING, WITH HIGH RESISTANCE TO METAL DUSTING
A nickel-based alloy is coated with a silicate based nickel aluminide slurry diffusion coating.
Cooking appliance with top breathing burner having bottom breathing assist through top sheet
A domestic home gas cooktop is provided. The cooktop has a top sheet having a primary combustion air hole through the top sheet; a gas burner cup mounted to the top sheet; and a gas burner base mounted to the burner cup. The primary combustion air hole is configured to allow first primary combustion air to flow from beneath the top sheet to the burner base, and the primary combustion air hole is located remotely from the burner cup.

Torch Heat Shield
A torch heat shield attachment for a butane torch or similar device includes an outer mesh material that is wrapper around an inner aluminum cylinder. The outer mesh material forms an outer mesh cylinder spaced around an inner mesh cylinder via a plurality of fasteners that secure the mesh in its cylindrical shape while spacing the formed inner and outer mesh cylinders to form a gap therebetween. The fasteners are removable and rearrangeable to customize the appearance of the torch heat shield. The aluminum plate, the two mesh cylinders formed by the mesh material, and the gap formed between the two mesh cylinders help to shield a user of the torch from excess heat by dissipating the heat from the torch tip.
Burner for submerged combustion melting
Submerged combustion burners having a burner body and a burner tip body connected thereto. The burner body has an external conduit and a first internal conduit substantially concentric therewith. The external conduit and first internal conduit form an annulus for passing a cooling fluid there between. A second internal conduit substantially concentric with the external conduit forms a second annulus between the first and second internal conduits. A burner tip body is connected to the burner body at ends of the external and first internal conduits. The burner tip body includes a generally central flow passage for a combustible mixture, the flow passage defined by an inner wall of the burner tip body. The burner tip body further has an outer wall and a crown connecting the inner and outer walls. The crown includes at least one physical convolution sufficient to increase surface area and fatigue resistance of the crown.
PERFORATED FLAME HOLDER SUPPORT MEMBER FOR STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY
A furnace includes a perforated flame holder formed from an array of tiles. The perforated flame holder is stabilized by a support member extending between at least adjacent tiles. Elongated support members may be positioned to extend through each of the tiles in a respective column of the array of tiles.
Injectors For Supercritical CO2 Applications
An apparatus and method for injectors for use in combustion systems employing multiple non-solid or gas streams such as supercritical CO.sub.2 systems. The apparatus and method allow for reactants to be injected into a combustion chamber in such a way that combustion is locally inhibited. Injectors employing an inner and outer tube are designed to minimize mixing between the non-solid gas streams and allow for swirling and stratification of the non-solid or gas streams.

Method for operating a claus burner
In order to overcome the limitations and problems that earlier methods have experienced, a method for operating a burner used in the thermal step of a Claus process is disclosed. The burner has at least one combustion air port, at least one oxygen port, and at least one fuel port. The oxidant flow is made up of an oxygen flow of technical pure oxygen with an oxygen concentration of at least 90 vol. %, preferably at least 99 vol. %, and if necessary of a second gas flow, and it is determined whether the oxygen flow is below a pre-set minimum flow and if the oxygen flow is below a pre-set minimum flow the air flow is split into a main air flow and a side air flow and the oxygen flow is combined with the side air flow creating an oxygen-enriched side air flow which is fed to the oxygen port. A corresponding burner is also disclosed.
