MERCURY, DIOXIN, AND FURAN REMOVAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING GAC FIRES ON NEW HIGH TEMPERATURE MUNICIPAL SLUDGE INCINERATORS
The present invention is generally related to a system and method that efficiently and effectively removes mercury, dioxin, and furan while also reducing granule activated carbon (GAC) bed fires on high temperature municipal fluid bed sludge incinerators. In this manner, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Maximum Achievable Control Technology LLLL (MACT LLLL) emission limits on mercury, dioxin, and furans can be met for new high temperature fluid bed municipal sludge incineration plants, while the likelihood of GAC fires can be reduced.
Smokeless incinerator and system using same
A smokeless incinerator burns unburned gas to inhibit generation of black smoke. The incinerator contains a first combustion chamber with a main combustor having firebrick walls into which waste is thrown and an auxiliary burner for burning the waste. A water cooling jacket is located above the main combustor. A second combustion chamber is located on top of the first combustion chamber and has a re-burning burner for unburned gas. A filter-equipped combustion chamber is aligned with and adjacent the second combustion chamber and has a ceramic filter. A third combustion chamber is aligned with and adjacent to the filter-equipped combustion chamber and has a dust collection cyclone. A fourth combustion chamber is located on top of the third combustion chamber and has a re-burning burner for unburned gas. An exhaust stack is located on top of the fourth combustion chamber and has a forced exhaust.
PRODUCTION OF ACTIVATED CARBON
The disclosure provides a system and method for production of activated carbon from a coal-originating particulate feed material. Feed material and activating gas are introduced into a reaction chamber, the activating gas being introduced at a velocity above the average terminal velocity of particles within the feed material. Feed material is then entrained in the activating gas such that a recirculating flow path for the feed material is established within the reaction chamber. Activated material may then be recovered from the chamber.
ELECTRICAL POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
An electrical power generation system. It has a combustion energy prime mover having a combustion gas exhaust; an electrical generator connected to the prime mover connectable to a local power grid; a gas compressor receiving the combustion gas exhaust and providing pressurized gas and gas compression heat; and a liquid carbon dioxide collector for collecting liquid carbon dioxide from the pressurized gas.
Cyclone separator arrangement
A cyclone separator arrangement includes a preceding apparatus having an outlet, and a cyclone separator having an inlet. The arrangement further includes a crossover duct connected to the outlet and the inlet for supplying gas flow including particles from the preceding apparatus to the cyclone separator. The preceding apparatus has a horizontal inner diameter (D), and a flow channel having a cross-section having a height (H) and a width (d), said width (d) relating to the inner diameter (D) such that 0.15?D<d<0.6?D.
Solid fuel burning-furnace having a vertically mounted cylindrical combustion chamber
A ground supported power boiler is described combining a refractory lined and insulated conical floor; an insulated cylindrical combustion chamber; a cylindrical furnace with water tube wall; a rectangular convective section; a single vertical steam drum; tangential injection of the fuel and combustion air; means for fluidizing the fuel bed; means for selectively stripping particulates from the flue gases; multi-stage particulate stripping and filtering from flue gases, means for using the walls of steam drum as steam/water droplet separator, means for recirculating and capturing heat from the flue gases; means for pressurizing the interior of the boiler above atmospheric pressure; means for heating and drying fuel prior to feeding the fuel to the boiler; means for creating hydrogen shift reaction; means for eliminating any need for sootblowing; and designed to not require the use of an induced draft fan.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY POWER GENERATION USING A CARBON DIOXIDE CIRCULATING WORKING FLUID
The present invention provides methods and system for power generation using a high efficiency combustor in combination with a CO.sub.2 circulating fluid. The methods and systems advantageously can make use of a low pressure ratio power turbine and an economizer heat exchanger in specific embodiments. Additional low grade heat from an external source can be used to provide part of an amount of heat needed for heating the recycle CO.sub.2 circulating fluid. Fuel derived CO.sub.2 can be captured and delivered at pipeline pressure. Other impurities can be captured.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING POLLUTION FROM A COMBUSTION CHAMBER
A new Emission-Cleaning-System (ECS) for reducing air pollution coming via a chimney is disclosed. The new ECS may comprise a cyclone-separator-with-liquid-injectors (CSWLI) that is associated with a chimney, wherein the path via the chimney remains undisturbed, a blower that is configured to pull smoke coming via the chimney toward the CSWLI. In addition the new ECS is controlled by an ECS Controlling Circuitry (ECC). The ECC is associated with one or more sensors and one or more accessories.
