REGULATING VALVE FOR A GAS COOKING APPLIANCE, AND GAS COOKING APPLIANCE INCORPORATING SAID REGULATING VALVE
A regulating valve with at least one gas outlet conduit and a housing having at least one outlet hole in fluid communication with the outlet conduit; a rotating disc arranged in the housing; a spring axially retaining the rotating disc in the housing; and sealing means surrounding the at least one outlet hole. The sealing means includes a gasket having a closure member associated with each outlet hole, surrounding the same, and at least one attachment arm attached to the at least one closure member. The attachment arm including at least one protuberance, with the rotating disc being supported on the closure members and on the protuberances when it presses on the gasket.
FUEL NOZZLE WITH REDUCED FLOW TOLERANCE
A fuel nozzle metering valve that includes a spool having an inlet port and an outlet flow port, and a retainer assembled to one end of the spool. A valve liner houses a portion of the spool. The spool is configured to move back and forth within the valve liner. The metering valve is biased in a closed position in which the outlet flow port is disposed entirely within the valve liner. The valve is opened when the spool slides within the valve liner such that some portion of the outlet flow port extends beyond an end of the valve liner. The retainer has a stepped portion configured to abut an end of the retainer at a fuel flow pressure below the expected maximum fuel flow pressure to be used in the fuel nozzle metering valve.
Housing of a gasket for a turbomachine injector
An inlet body is for a fluid injector for a turbomachine. The inlet body includes a casing and an inlet nozzle, housed inside the casing, that serves as a seat for a mobile sealing member. The inlet nozzle includes a central duct for the fluid and an annular rim surrounding the central duct. The annular rim includes a housing for a gasket. The housing is defined by a bottom wall, an opening opposite the bottom wall, and two opposite walls which each extend between the bottom wall and the opening. The walls are tilted towards each other in the direction of the opening.
Combustion staging system
A combustion staging system is provided for fuel injectors of a multi-stage combustor of a gas turbine engine. The system has a splitting unit which receives a metered total fuel flow and controllably splits the metered total fuel flow into out-going pilot and mains fuel flows to perform pilot-only and pilot-and-mains staging control of the combustor. The system further has pilot and mains fuel manifolds which respectively receive the pilot and mains fuel flows. The system further has a plurality of mains flow scheduling valves which distribute the mains fuel flow from the mains fuel manifold to mains discharge orifices of respective injectors of the combustor. The system further has servo line which extends to the mains flow scheduling valves, the servo line being controllably fillable with pressurised fuel to change the pressure in the servo line relative to the pressure in the mains fuel manifold. Each mains flow scheduling valve has a chamber containing a movable piston, the chamber to a mains side of the piston being fed by the mains fuel manifold, and the chamber to a servo side of the piston being fed by the servo line. The piston has an open pilot-and-mains position which allows flow out of the mains side of the chamber to the mains discharge orifice of the respective injector. The piston is biased towards a closed pilot-only position which prevents flow out of the mains side of the chamber to the mains discharge orifice of the respective injector. The piston is movable to the closed position under an increase in pressure in the servo line relative to the mains fuel manifold.
FLUID INJECTION SYSTEMS HAVING FLUID LINE PURGING
A fluid injection system can include a main flow line, a primary flow line connected to the main flow line, and a primary flow valve disposed between the primary flow line and the main flow line and configured to allow injectant flow to the primary flow line from the main flow line in an open primary flow valve state, and to prevent injectant flow to the primary flow line from the main flow line in a closed primary flow valve state. The system can include a secondary flow line connected to the main flow line and a secondary flow valve disposed between the secondary flow line and the main flow line and configured to selectively allow injectant flow to the secondary flow line from the main flow line in an open secondary flow valve state, and to prevent injectant flow to the secondary flow line from the main flow line in a closed secondary flow valve state. The system can include a primary purge branch configured and a secondary purge branch configured to be in fluid communication with a purge gas line to receive a purge gas flow from the purge gas line.
Combustion chamber comprising two types of injectors in which the sealing members have a different opening threshold
The invention relates to a combustion chamber for a turbomachine. The combustion chamber comprises at least one spark plug, at least one fuel injector of a first type of injector that is located facing the spark plug, and at least one fuel injector of a second type. Each fuel injector comprises a mobile sealing member that is configured to open when the fuel pressure exceeds an opening threshold. The opening threshold of the mobile sealing member of the injector of the first type is strictly less than the opening threshold of the mobile sealing member of the injector of the second type.
Fire activated cooling fluid valve
A cooling fluid valve having an actuator portion extending outwardly beyond an outer surface of an actuator housing. The cooling fluid valve actuator portion includes a plug force fit into an orifice in a valve housing. The plug blocks flow of cooling fluid from a cooling fluid inlet to a cooling fluid outlet. The cooling fluid outlet is connected to communicate cooling fluid to the component. The plug is formed of a material having a first coefficient of thermal expansion. A portion of the valve housing includes the orifice receiving the plug being formed of a material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion with the second coefficient of thermal expansion being higher than the first coefficient of thermal expansion, such that when the actuator portion of the valve is exposed to heat, the force fit may be eliminated as the valve housing expands at greater rate than the plug.

A portable heater includes a housing enclosing a combustion region, a first connector for connecting with a fuel source, a first supply line in fluid connection with the first connector for supplying fuel to the combustion region when the fuel source is connected with the first connector, a second supply line in fluid connection with a second connector for supplying fuel to a fuel-fired accessory when the fuel source is connected with the first connector and the fuel-fired accessory is connected with the second connector, and a valve arrangement operable to selectively supply fuel to the first and second supply lines when the fuel source is connected with the first connector.

A fluid injection system can include a main flow line, a primary flow line connected to the main flow line, and a primary flow valve disposed between the primary flow line and the main flow line and configured to allow injectant flow to the primary flow line from the main flow line in an open primary flow valve state, and to prevent injectant flow to the primary flow line from the main flow line in a closed primary flow valve state. An assembly for reducing excess piping pressure in a fluid distribution system. The assembly includes a fluid regulator including a body defining an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid passageway between the inlet and the outlet, a first control element movable relative to a valve seat in the fluid passageway to control fluid flow therethrough, a valve stem coupled to the first control element, and an actuator assembly operatively coupled to the valve stem to control a position of the first control element. The assembly also includes a solenoid valve coupled to the fluid regulator at a position upstream of the outlet, the solenoid valve adapted to receive a control signal indicative of zero demand downstream of the fluid regulator, and having a second control element that is movable, responsive to the control signal, from a first position to a second position to reduce fluid flowing through the fluid passageway.
