Modulating oven burner control for gas cooking appliance

A cooking appliance including an oven compartment, and first and second gas burners positioned to supply heat to the oven compartment. The first and second gas burners respectively include first and second electromechanical modulating valves that respectively couple the first and second gas burners to a gas supply. A controller is used to control the first and second gas burners to heat the oven compartment, and the controller, when maintaining a predetermined temperature in the oven compartment, controls the electromechanical modulating valves of the first and second gas burners to vary respective output levels of the first and second gas burners while maintaining a substantially constant combined output level for the first and second gas burners.

Oven appliance with rear gas burner

An oven appliance includes a cabinet. A chamber is defined within the cabinet for receipt of food items for cooking. The oven appliance also includes a gas burner positioned proximate to a bottom portion of the chamber with a combustion products guide structure positioned and oriented to guide combustion products from the gas burner to an outlet proximate a back wall of the chamber.

Cooking device

A cooking device includes a frame forming a cooking chamber; a door opening and closing the cooking chamber; a burner cover disposed in the cooking chamber; and a burner located in the burner cover, the burner generating a flame, wherein the burner cover is provided with a first hole providing a path through which air flows, and the frame is provided with a second hole communicating with the first hole, the second hole providing a path through which the air flows.

A food smoker oven with a front section and a rear section. The rear section is a drawer that contains smoldering organic material. The front section includes a rotisserie for holding the food being prepared. A gas burner separates the front section and the rear section. The gas burner provides a curtain of combustion gasses between the smoker drawer and the rotisserie rod that mixes with the smoke from the smoldering organic material. The food on the rotisserie is forward of the burner so that the burner does not provide heat directly underneath the food.

Spill guard for a gas oven burner

An oven appliance includes a cooking chamber defined at least in part by a bottom wall having an outlet port defined therein, wherein the outlet port defines a virtual boundary projected in the vertical direction, a burner positioned below the bottom wall proximate the outlet port and outside of the virtual boundary of the outlet port, and a burner shield. The burner shield includes a cover portion positioned directly over the burner, and a first extension having a first edge connected to the cover portion and a second edge opposite the first edge, wherein the first extension extends toward the outlet port.

A cooking appliance includes: a cooking cavity with a bottom wall and a rear wall. A convection fan is disposed adjacent to the rear wall of the cooking cavity. A gas burner is located in a subjacent space beneath the bottom wall and adjacent to the rear wall of the cooking cavity. A heat duct provides communication through the bottom wall and includes an inlet positioned directly above and adjacent to the gas burner through which combustion gases from the gas burner can enter the heat duct. An annular portion of the heat duct defines a pass-through opening in which the convection fan is disposed. Flames from the gas burner extend upwardly toward or through the inlet of the heat duct and are substantially isolated from turbulent air flow generated by the convection fan.

Oven appliance combustion chamber

An oven appliance includes a cabinet extending vertically between a top portion and a bottom portion. The cabinet defines a cooking chamber configured for receipt of food items for cooking. The oven appliance also includes a combustion heating assembly. The combustion heating assembly includes a tubular combustion chamber extending from an inlet to an outlet. The outlet of the tubular combustion chamber is in thermal communication with the cooking chamber to provide combustion gas from the tubular combustion chamber to the cooking chamber. The combustion heating assembly also includes a burner in fluid communication with the tubular combustion chamber via the inlet of the tubular combustion chamber. Combustion products from the burner mix with secondary air within the tubular combustion chamber to produce the combustion gas.
