User engagement system and methods for adjusting a cooking recipe based on an identified utensil
A method of operating a user engagement system, as provided herein, may include receiving a recipe selection signal of a predetermined recipe, and receiving a recipe information signal based on the predetermined recipe. The method may further include receiving an image signal from the camera assembly, and identifying a utensil based on the received image signal. The method may still further include initiating a recipe action at the user engagement system.
Electric cooktop safety system
The present disclosure relates to an electric cooktop safety system. More particularly, the electric cooktop safety system pertains to safety cookware vessels having special fastening components that secure these safety cookware vessels to an electric cooktop, preventing a user from accidentally tipping or pulling off the safety cookware vessels from the electric cooktop. In one implementation, the fastening components may include a safety stem having keyed members and stem locking members disposed on a safety cooktop to secure the safety cookware vessel to the safety cooktop. In another implementation, the fastening components may include electro-magnetic fastening components to secure the safety cookware vessel to the safety cooktop.
DOMESTIC APPLIANCE SYSTEM
A household appliance system includes a household appliance, an external unit for operating the household appliance, and a control unit designed to perform a characterization process and to enable operation of the household appliance by the external unit, when the characterization process has been completed.
Induction cooker
An induction cooker according to the present disclosure includes a body including a top plate on which a heating target is placed, a frame formed to surround an outer periphery of the top plate, and having a discontinuous portion being electrically discontinuous from other parts of the frame, a heating coil disposed below the top plate, and configured to inductively heat the heating target, a driver circuit configured to supply electric power to the heating coil, a power transfer coil configured to transfer electric power by magnetic resonance, and a power transfer circuit configured to supply electric power to the power transfer coil, and a power receiving device including a power receiving coil configured to receive electric power from the power transfer coil by magnetic resonance, and a load circuit configured to operate by the electric power received by the power receiving coil.
HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE SYSTEM
A household appliance system includes a household appliance, an external unit for operating the household appliance, and a control unit designed to automatically check in one operating mode at least in intervals as to whether the external unit is arranged in an operating range and in the event that the external unit is arranged within the operating range to enable operation of the household appliance by the external unit.
ELECTRIC RANGE
An electric range that may include a case, a cover plate coupled to an upper end of the case and having an upper surface on which a heating target is disposed, at least one heater disposed under the cover plate and configured to heat the heating target, an upper bracket that is disposed under the at least one heater and supports the at least one heater, a base bracket that is disposed under the upper bracket and on which a printed circuit board is installed, a heat sink installed on the printed circuit board, a blower fan installed on the base bracket and configured to discharge air toward the heat sink, and an air guide that communicates with the blower fan and surrounds the heat sink to form a flow path of air which cools the heat sink.

A cooking assistance appliance can include a body, at least one camera, at least one sensor, and an imaging device for capturing an image of a cooking appliance. The cooking appliance can provide for monitoring use of the cooking appliance, as well as assisting the user in operating the cooking appliance. Additionally, the cooking assistance appliance can be integrated into a hood or a microwave oven and vent combination above a stovetop.
Sealing temperature sensor assembly for an appliance cooktop
A temperature sensor assembly for a cooktop appliance can include a plate with a cylindrically-shaped boss, one or more seals located in one or more grooves of the plate, a grommet disk engaged with the bottom surface of the plate, and a cylindrically-shaped grommet in which a cap for a temperature sensor is positioned and is slidable therein.
Coil heating element with a temperature sensor shield
An electric resistance heating coil assembly includes a spiral wound sheathed heating element having a first coil section and a second coil section. A bimetallic thermostat is connected in series between the first and second coil sections of the spiral wound sheathed heating element. The bimetallic thermostat is spring loaded such that a distal end of the bimetallic thermostat is urged away from a top surface of the spiral wound sheathed heating element. The electric resistance heating coil assembly also includes a shroud cover and a heat transfer disk.
Appliance with modular user interface
A modular user interface unit for an appliance is provided. The modular user interface unit includes an upper film layer comprising a conductive polymer and a plurality of electrodes. The modular user interface unit also includes a circuit board with a microcontroller thereon. The circuit board is electrically coupled to the upper film layer by a conductive polymer connector. The microcontroller is configured to receive raw capacitance data from the plurality of electrodes and to detect a touch based on the raw capacitance data.
