The blower fan module includes an installation frame defining a first plane that faces a rear surface of the grille panel, and a second plane that faces the front surface of the shroud, a hub part that is rotatably coupled to the second plane of the installation frame and faces an inlet hole of the shroud, and a blower impeller disposed in the hub part.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes a cabinet having a freezing compartment below a refrigerating compartment, an ice making compartment at a side of the refrigerating compartment, an evaporator, a shroud that is disposed at a front side of the evaporator, a grille panel coupled to a front surface of the shroud, a first cool air guide channel defined between the grille panel and the shroud and configured to guide cool air to a freezing compartment, a second cool air guide channel defined between the grille panel and the shroud and configured guide cool air to the ice making compartment, a freezing fan module disposed between the grille panel and the shroud and configured to supply cool air to the first cool air guide channel, and an ice making fan module disposed between the grille panel and the shroud and configured to supply cool air to the second cool air guide channel.
REFRIGERATOR WITH DUCT SYSTEM TO PROVIDE COLD AIR FROM A FREEZER EVAPORATOR TO AN ICE MAKER
A refrigerator includes a cabinet structure having a refrigerator compartment and a freezer compartment. An evaporator is positioned in the freezer compartment within an evaporator housing. A door is pivotally coupled to the cabinet structure for selectively providing access to the refrigerator compartment and includes an ice maker. A duct assembly includes an ice maker feed duct operably coupled to the evaporator housing at a first end, and further coupled to the ice maker at a second end. The duct assembly further includes an ice maker return duct operably coupled to the ice maker at a first end and further coupled to the evaporator housing at a second end. First and second fans are provided in-series, wherein the first fan provides cooled air to the freezer compartment, and the second fan provides cooled air from the first fan to the ice maker during an ice making cycle.
REFRIGERATOR ICE COMPARTMENT LATCH AND COVER
An insulated icemaking compartment is provided in the fresh food compartment of a bottom mount refrigerator. The icemaking compartment may be integrally fowled with the liner of the fresh food compartment, or alternatively, may be modular for installation anywhere in the fresh food compartment. A removable bin assembly with a front cover normally seals the icemaking compartment to maintain the temperature in the compartment. A cold air duct formed in the rear wall of the refrigerator supplies cold air from the freezer compartment to the icemaking compartment. A return air duct directs a portion of the air from the icemaking compartment back to the freezer compartment. An air vent with a damper in the icemaking compartment directs another portion of air into the fresh food compartment.
Refrigerator and control method therefor
Disclosed is a refrigerator including a main body forming a refrigerating chamber and a freezing chamber each including a temperature sensor, a cooling unit having a compressor and an evaporator accommodated inside the main body and driven to circulate a refrigerant in the compressor and the evaporator to generate cold air around the evaporator, a fan positioned inside the main body to supply the cold air to the freezing chamber, a damper positioned between the freezing chamber and the refrigerating chamber and opened and closed to allow the freezing chamber and the refrigerating chamber to selectively communicate with each other, and a controller controlling the damper for a predetermined damper opening time when a temperature of the freezing chamber reaches a freezing satisfaction temperature according to driving of the cooling unit. A temperature change of the refrigerating chamber over time may be reduced and power consumption may be improved.
