Heat exchanger and method of manufacturing the same

Each heat exchange tube of a condenser is formed of a first brazing sheet having a core material and a first brazing material covering the core material. The tank body of each header tank is formed of a second brazing sheet having a core material and a third brazing material covering the core material and being lower in flowability than the first brazing material. In a region of a surface of each protrusion portion facing the corresponding heat exchange tube, the region having a predetermined width as measured from the projecting end, the core materials of the two brazing sheets are brazed together by means of the first brazing material. In the region other than the brazed portion, the core materials of the two brazing sheets are brazed together by means of a fillet formed of a mixture of the first and third brazing materials.

Tube stay installation assembly

A tube stay mounting assembly includes a press assembly having a housing and a top block configured to flatten fins on a first surface of a finned tube. A press arm is operable to move the top block vertically with respect to the housing. A bottom block is configured to flatten fins on a second surface of the finned tube when the press arm is rotated and moves the top block downwardly. A tube stay clamping assembly includes a clamping housing configured to receive a tube stay having a top, bottom, rear, and front walls, the tube stay being configured to receive a flattened portion of the finned tube. A clamping arm is connected by linking arms to a clamping block, the clamping block configured to engage and force the front wall into snap-fit engagement with the top wall of the tube stay.

PANEL FOR HEAT EXCHANGE AND IMPROVED NOISE REDUCTION FOR A TURBOMACHINE

A heat exchange and noise reduction panel the panel for an aircraft comprising: an external surface intended to be swept by an airflow and from which fins extend along a first and a second main predetermined direction; cavities forming Helmholtz resonators, linked to the first ends of channels for the passage of air, the second ends of which communicate with said airflow, such that said channels form necks, referred to as Helmholtz resonators, extending substantially along the first direction; and at least one oil flow chamber extending between said external surface and said at least one cavity, and intended to discharge the thermal energy carried by the oil, characterized in that wherein said channels are formed, at least in part, inside said fins.

Tube and heat exchanger provided with tube

A tube used in a heat exchanger, wherein a tube body includes a curved end portion, a pair of parallel portions, a pair of inclination portions, and a fixed portion in which a long end part extending from one of the pair of inclination portions is bent to hold therebetween a short end part extending from the other of the pair of inclination portions, and the tube is a pipe member having a flattened shape in cross-section. Poor brazing is reduced by making the inclination angle of at least part of the other inclination portion with respect to the flat plate portion larger than that of the one inclination portion.

Aluminium composite material having an internal solder layer

The invention relates to a brazable three-layered aluminum composite material having at least three layers with at least two different aluminum alloys, whereby an inner layer of the at least three layers is an aluminum brazing layer made from an aluminum brazing alloy, the other layers are configured as covering layers and include at least one further aluminum alloy, wherein the at least one further aluminum alloy has a higher solidus temperature than the liquidus temperature of the aluminum brazing alloy. The individual covering layers have a thickness which exceeds the thickness of the aluminum brazing layer by at least a factor of 1.5, preferably by a factor of 5. The brazable aluminum composite material is simply structured, has good brazing properties for the production of butt-joint brazing connections, significantly reduces the risk of a ‘burning through’ of brazed-on components and provides sufficient mechanical properties.

Collector tube for a heat exchanger

A collector tube for a heat exchanger having at least one flat tube, may include a base and a cover arranged opposite the base. The base and the cover may define a longitudinal duct. The base may include at least one passage having an opening configured to accommodate the at least one flat tube of the heat exchanger. The opening may have at least one wide edge and at least one narrow edge. The longitudinal duct may have, in a cross section, a diameter that is smaller than the at least one wide edge of the opening. The at least one passage may include a collar extending away from the longitudinal duct.

Notched coolant tubes for a heat exchanger

Methods and systems are provided for a heat exchanger for a motorized vehicle. In one example, a heat exchanger includes a plurality of tubes coupled to a header, with each tube including a partition extending a height of the tube. The partition includes a notch positioned at an end of the tube coupled to the header, with the notch extending into the tube.
