A plate package for a heat exchanger device includes a plurality of heat exchanger plates with mating abutment portions forming a fluid distribution element in every second plate interspace thereby forming in the respective second plate interspaces two arc-shaped flow paths wherein a respective one of the two flow paths is divided into at least three flow path sectors arranged one after the other along a respective flow path. A plate and a heat exchanger are also disclosed.

A liquid cooled heat exchanger includes first and second heat exchange chambers that are in thermal communication. The first heat exchange chamber is downstream of the second heat exchanges chamber and receives heat from a heat generating device, such as an electronic circuit. Heat in the first heat exchange chamber can be transferred to the second heat exchange chamber to increase the temperature of a subcooled liquid working fluid in the second heat exchange chamber. This can render a pressure drop across the heat exchanger that is relatively insensitive to a fraction of liquid that is vaporized in the first heat exchange chamber.

The method also includes conveying a fluid along the third passages when the temperature of the second fluid in at least some of the second passages is below a predetermined temperature to transfer heat from the fluid being conveyed along the third passages to the second fluid.

A liquid-vapor separation assembly is positioned in the shell and includes a separation deck, and a plurality of separation devices mounted to the separation deck, each separation device being operable to de-entrain liquid from the vapor-liquid mixture and discharge a vapor. A vapor outlet nozzle is coupled to the shell to receive the vapor discharged from the plurality of separation devices.
