Housing is developed with a first connecting fitting and a second connecting fitting for each fluid. Heat transfer element is disposed in a volume completely enclosed in a housing and is developed for through-conduction of the first fluid. Housing is developed for conduction of the second fluid about the heat transfer element. Connecting fittings for second fluid are either disposed on the first housing element and the connecting fittings for the first fluid are disposed on the second housing element, wherein within the second housing at least one flow path for conducting the first fluid is implemented which extends between a connecting fitting and a collector region or the connecting fittings for the fluids are disposed on the first housing element.
Crimping frame or crimping base
A crimping frame or crimping base for a charge air cooler may include a circumferential raised rim including a plurality of crimping slots. The plurality of crimping slots may each include two longitudinal sides and two narrow sides. The two longitudinal sides may be disposed opposite one another and may extend parallel to the rim. The two narrow sides may be stiffened via a bent reinforcement. The bent reinforcement and the rim may be structured as a single piece.
BYPASS SEAL FOR PLATE HEATER MATRIX
A heat exchanger for a motor vehicle includes a seal and a core. The core includes a first groove formed in a first side and a second groove formed in an opposing second side. The first groove and the second groove are each configured to receive a portion of the seal to secure the seal to the core. The seal includes a cross member and a pair of uprights extending from opposing ends of the cross member, wherein the cross member and the uprights each include a sealing element. The uprights further include a rail extending from the upright and configured to be received in the groove of the core. The core further includes an integrated shear panel formed at opposing ends thereof.
HEAT EXCHANGER FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
The main object of the invention is a heat exchanger including a first header plate of an inlet manifold, a second header plate of a distribution header and a heat exchange core bundle extending between the first header plate and the second header plate along a longitudinal direction, the heat exchange core bundle being defined by a shell and having a plurality of tubes arranged successively next to each other in a transverse direction, each tube being capable of cooperating with the header plates via through-holes formed in each plate. The shell has at least one longitudinal end with a straight edge configured to be in flat surface contact with at least one header plate in a contact area, the surface contact occurring mainly in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
AUTOMOTIVE LOCKING RING AND INTERCOOLER WITH CARBONFIBER END TANK
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed for attaching two automotive components comprising different materials having different coefficients of expansion, comprising providing a flange around a perimeter of each of the components, wherein at least one component defines a plenum contiguous to the perimeter, providing corresponding inner faces of the flanges, providing a channel in at least one of the corresponding faces of the flanges, wherein the channel is coaxial to the perimeter, disposing a gasket in the channel, and surrounding the flanges with a locking ring, wherein the ring has an axial channel and a pin disposed perpendicular to the channel to secure a first end of the locking ring to a mating second end of the locking ring.
Stacked-plate heat exchanger
A stacked-plate heat exchanger may include a plurality of stacked plates. The plurality of stacked plates may include a plurality of first stacked plates and a plurality of second stacked plates stacked alternately one on top of another. Pairs of adjacent stacked plates may each delimit one of a first cavity for the passage of a first fluid and a second cavity for the passage of a second fluid in an alternating manner. The heat exchanger may also include a support structure that may support the plurality of stacked plates in an edge region to stabilize the second cavity. The plurality of stacked plates may each include a first opening and at least two second openings arranged around the first opening. The heat exchanger may also include a plurality of webs each arranged between two adjacent second openings. The plurality of webs may form the support structure.
