Heat exchanger with common seal and flow detector component
A heat exchanger includes a stack of plates which form ducts. Each of the plates can have at least two openings which, in the plate stack, form at least one collecting duct and one distributor duct which connect the ducts in terms of flow. A base plate can be arranged on the plate stack and can have a seal for sealing off the heat exchanger and a flow deflector for manipulating flow through the heat exchanger. The seal and the flow deflector can form a common component.
TRANSMISSION OIL BYPASS ASSEMBLY
Disclosed is a transmission oil bypass assembly including: a body formed in a pipe shape such that a first longitudinal side of the body is inserted into a first heat exchanger for heat exchange of transmission oil, with a bypass passage provided at a second longitudinal side of the body by protruding outside the first heat exchanger, and openings formed on a side wall of the body to allow the transmission oil to be introduced therethrough; a returning pipe configured to return the transmission oil introduced through the body to the transmission; a thermal expansion unit inserted into the body; a returning-side on/off valve configured to close an internal passage of the returning pipe when a length of the thermal expansion unit is increased; and a bypass-side on/off valve configured to close the bypass passage when the length of the thermal expansion unit is decreased.
MULTI-REGION HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger includes a first side of a heat exchanger layer with a first flow path, wherein the first flow path flows through a heat soak region and a flow region, and a second side of the heat exchanger layer with a second flow path in thermal communication with the first flow path, wherein an inlet of the first flow path and an inlet of the second flow path are proximate in the heat soak region.
Double-sided oil cooler for use in a generator engine
An oil cooler is disclosed that comprises a base plate including a recessed portion defined by an interior wall and an exterior wall and including an inlet port and an outlet port. The base plate further includes a divider wall positioned in the recessed portion and extending between the exterior wall and the interior wall to separate the inlet port and the outlet port, a plurality of protrusions arranged in the recessed portion to provide a plurality of tortuous flow paths through which oil flows from the inlet port to the outlet port, and a first set of cooling fins formed on a surface of the base plate opposite the recessed portion. A cover plate is attached to the base plate so as to cover the recessed portion and thereby define a cavity to circulate the oil therethrough, the cover plate including a second set of cooling fins formed thereon.
OUTPUT DIRECTOR VANE FOR AN AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINE, WITH AN IMPROVED LUBRICANT COOLING FUNCTION USING A HEAT CONDUCTION MATRIX HOUSED IN AN INNER DUCT OF THE VANE
A guide vane for a dual flow aircraft turbine engine, the aerodynamic part of the vane including an inner duct for lubricant cooling extending in a main direction and being partly bounded by a pressure side wall and a suction side wall of the vane. A heat conduction matrix is lodged in the duct, and presents main heat transfer wings extending parallel to the direction, and laid out in staggered rows.
Transfer Apparatus
A heat transfer apparatus includes an outer shell, an internal core body, and a flexible diaphragm extending from the core body to an interior surface of the outer shell. The shell includes a first inlet that receives a first fluid, a second inlet that receives a second fluid, a first outlet through which the first fluid exits the shell, and a second outlet through which the second fluid exits the shell. The core body forms first interior passageways that fluidly couple the first inlet with the first outlet and second interior passageways that fluidly couple the second inlet with the second outlet. The flexible diaphragm forms a flexible transition between each of the first inlet and the second inlet of the shell and the core body, and forms a seal that prevents the first fluid in the first interior passageways from flowing into the second interior passageways.
HEAT EXCHANGER AND STORAGE DEVICE FOR COLD VEHICLE STARTUP WITH REGENERATIVE CAPABILITY
A product is provided with a container holding a heat storage medium. A fluid is entrained in a conduit that is routed through the container and routed through a heat generating system. An initiator is operably connected to the container. The heat storage medium is responsive to the generation of a signal from the initiator. When the heat generating system is in operation, the fluid is moved through the conduit so that when the heat generating system is operating, heat generated as a by-product is entrained in the fluid, passed through the container via the conduit and transferred to the heat storage medium. When desirable to provide heat to the heat generating system, the initiator is operated to expose the heat storage medium to a signal triggering the release of heat from the heat storage medium that is transferred through the fluid to the heat generation system.
Brazed Heat Exchanger and Production Method
A brazed heat exchanger includes plates that are stacked or nested to define flow channels for multiple media. Inserts are arranged within at least some of the flow channels. Two different braze alloys having compositions based on different metals are used to form braze joints between the plates and the inserts. In some cases, a copper-based braze alloy is used for joints corresponding to flow channels for one of the media in order to provide high pressure-resisting strength to those flow channels, while an iron-based braze alloy is used for joints corresponding to flow channels for another of the media where dissolved copper is undesirable.
Control appliance for using in the engine compartment or in the transmission of a motor vehicle and cooling system for such a control appliance
A control unit for use in the engine compartment or in the transmission of a motor vehicle. The control unit has a line section for an engine or transmission fluid, a circuit carrier, and a base plate. The base body is mounted on the base plate. The circuit carrier is arranged between the base body and the base plate. The base body has a plurality of parallel channels each having a respective outlet. At least one of the plurality of parallel channels forms a portion of the line section. A separate cover is mounted on the base body, the cover having a single inlet coupled to the plurality of parallel channels. The cover is, other than only the inlet, connected to the base body in a fluid-tight manner, and the inlet is the only fluid passage through the cover.
Heat exchanger for a turbomachine
An annular heat exchanger with a longitudinal axis for a turbomachine, intended for example to be supported by an annular shell of a casing of the turbomachine, includes a one-piece annular part having a first fluidic circuit having at least one first conduit and at least one second conduit extending annularly and a second fluidic circuit having at least one first conduit and at least one second conduit extending annularly and arranged in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction on either side of the first conduit and second conduit of the first circuit.
