A radiator includes a radiator frame, an array of tube assemblies each including a coolant tube and a tube clip supported in the radiator frame, and a lateral bump stop fitted between the array of tube assemblies and the radiator frame. The lateral bump stop includes cushions arranged in a staggered cushion pattern complementary to a staggered packing pattern of the tube assemblies with each of the cushions in contact with the tube clip of one of the tube assemblies.

A heat exchanger is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes a protective device, mutually parallel tubes through which a first fluid circulates, and perpendicular fins connecting two successive flat tubes, a second fluid circulating between said flat tubes by passing through said fins, the protective device being apertured so as to allow the circulation of the second fluid through the fins. The protective device includes fixing spikes which are inserted forcibly between the fins.
Heat exchanger tube spacing device (varinats)
Heat exchangers for use in heavy liquid metal coolant mediums that ensure reliable fixation and spacing of heat exchanger tubes. A first embodiment includes one supporting spacer grid having a cylindrical shell and two or more tiers of plates spaced apart at a preset gap, while the width of each plate is parallel to the shell axis. Ends of all plates are fixed to the shell such that plates of any tier are parallel to each other and located at the preset gap. Plates of different tiers are criss-crossed at an angle of 60 degrees along the shell axles and fastened together at the crossing points. Another embodiment includes three dividers which run through the cylinder axis; their ends are connected to the shell and are spaced at an angle of 60 degrees.

The present invention provides a phase change cold storage device having vortex coiled tubes, which falls within the technical field of low temperatures and comprises an inlet tube, an outlet tube, a tube plate, a baffle plate, vortex coiled tubes, a cylinder body, a central tube, a support frame, a seal head and a saddle, wherein the tube plate is fixedly connected to the cylinder body, a lower end position and a central position of the tube plate are respectively perforated, the inlet tube and the outlet tube are respectively connected to a lower end position and a central position of the tube plate, the baffle plate and the vortex coiled tubes are mounted on the central tube, one end of the central tube is fixed on the tube plate, and the other end is inserted through the support frame connected to the cylinder body, the head is connected to the cylinder, provided on the opposite side of the inlet and outlet tubes, and the saddle is provided below the cylinder. The present invention has a compact structure, is easy to manufacture, and easily enhances heat transfer with vortex coiled tubes, and at the same time, has a good cold storage effect and a wide application range.

A baffle (i.e., tube support) for use in a shell-and-tube heat exchange reactor, such as, for example, an ethylene oxide (EO) reactor, is provided that accommodates reduced tube pitch, and thus more catalyst packed tubes can be inside the reactor. The baffle, which can be referred to herein as a corrugated grid support, includes a plurality of corrugated stainless steel strips which sit into each other and form a grid pattern having tube openings. Each tube opening is configured to permit a catalyst packed tube to be inserted therein, while allowing a sufficient open area along the shell side of the tube to permit coolant to flow through the reactor.
